Bluetooth Headset EX-01 GIOTECK (PS3)

Get immersed!
I purchased these for £6.99 and they have been absolutely fantastic. Two of my daughters play on PS3s and have been wanting to join in the online conversations when playing Minecraft. I wanted to steer clear of the double-ear headphones because when they have those on they can never hear me and they are a little too zoned out! These are ideal because they have an ear free so they still have a foot in the real world. These are very easy to pair up and the charge lasts quite some time, the charging cable is short and so you can't really charge it and wear it at the same time, but leaving it to charge between gaming sessions means that it has never been flat when needed. The game sounds come through the TV speakers as normal, it's just the conversation which is heard through these, that makes having an ear uncovered even more of an advantage as my daughters can hear both the game sounds and the online chat sounds. The mix is stubby but picks up their voices well, they are incredibly clear and the actual device is quite small and therefore unobtrusive. In a nutshell: These budget bluetooth earpieces are perfect for our needs and have had many hours of use. Strongly recommended.

For the price, a decent headset, but not great audio quality.
I bought this to play on my PS3, and it does the job perfectly well. The mic quality seems to be good, I haven't had any complaints at all, which is the main thing. It was very easy to pair with my PS3 and the battery last a good long time. It also charges from the same type of USB cable as the PS3 controllers, which is a nice touch. It's got a mute button on the side, which is well placed, and the volume buttons work nicely.Unfortunately there's two issues that make this a 3 star review only. The ear...hook? thing. It does work, but it feels like it's going to fall off my ear at any point. It never has yet, and to be honest if it was going to it would have by now, however it's something that I can't quite feel comfortable with. The major issue though is with the quality of the earphone sound. It's very tinny and fuzzy, and since the ear-piece sits over your ear rather than in-ear I feel like it needed a more substantial speaker to really be effective. Even at max volume it has issues at times and it seems remarkably adept at playing background noise over voices - I first thought that the people I play with were all using poor microphones (though that's statistically unlikely), but after switching to a different mic headset for a change I realised it was actually the speaker quality of this headset. So, it's OK, it's a good price and if you run the voice through your TV or whatever and just use it as a bluetooth microphone it's all good.

best headset by far
i was told by many people and gioteck website, that the heaset can only pair to a playstaiton.when i first saw this i thought it was the best fitting headset i have ever seen, as other ones of this price only fit inside your ear.i usually go ear problems from wearing them for long periods of time.i thought i would take a leap of faith and give this a try.not only did it pair to my htc one x first time, but when i was wearing it, kept forgetting i had it on.on a couple of occasions, i never noticed it until i was sitting down to dinner at home and i might get a call, or taking my tops off and catching it on the headset.i cant praise this headset enough and will probably purchase a spare to use at home on my computer(which it also paired to with ease when a bluetooth dongle was connected)give it a try

Ok but not great
Got this to communicate with friends while playing on the playstation, the sound is ok but the main problem is when you attach it to your ear, it slips downwards, so you have to constantly adjust it and not to mention the pain it causes your ear after using it for a while.

Works 100% but with a small caveat.
This works 100% out the box. There is a caveat though; it's pretty much designed for a late-teen/fully grown adult head.My young son needs to wear a baseball cap on his head while gaming with his friends, as his little peanut sized head is too small for it to stay on comfortably. It's not that much of a problem though as he's convinced himself he's badass because he's wearing a "Spy" comlink. As always SUPERVISE your children while they're online. Either restrict access completely or only allow chat via their actual friends circle. The internet is not a place for children to run wild and free.

... of headset but I must admit this one is awesome. Recently bought one
I'm not used to using these type of headset but I must admit this one is awesome. Recently bought one. I have the PS3 camera which I was using as microphone for in-game voice but there are lots of echo. But with this headset there is no echo (negligible). There's a little bit of interference but it is almost unnoticeable. Sound/Voice is clear. My friends on the other side have the same headset and we hear each other very clear and can still play the game without having to reduce the game volume as with these headsets there are no echoes. Good buy for this price £7.50. Will recommend this to other.

very good headset
I'm not an intense gamer, and dont spend half my life on COD, so buying this was a bit of a learning curve, a good one.You can change it from being fitted for left and right ear, the initial charge time didnt take the amount of time recommended. And the battery life lasts around 4 hours before you either plug it in, or recharge the batteries, and even then sometimes it only takes an hour to fully charge. Its not the more uncomfortable earpiece I've ever used, considering the price.I recommend the headset to anyone looking for something good at a low price bargain!!Delivery was quick and efficient too

Not worth it......
For 10 pounds I guess I shouldn't complain. But this was a pretty much wasted purchase for me it connects up fine and works I can hear & talk to other people but not well. However this isn't really the headsets fault its more the PS3 voice servers are atrocious anyway and 1 ear is pretty dire to hear people especially with any background noise like the speakers.... my advise would be to either just buy a decent head set recommend Turtle beach PX22 or use a laptop with Skype, TS3, Ventrilo, raid call or mumble.
