This is a very soothing and hydrating mask. I thought it might be a bit messy and time-consuming but it really just takes a minute or so to mix up an appropriate amount. I apply it in thin layers until I get the fairly thick coverage that I want, and it is really no mess at all. After a bit of experimenting, I did change the proportions of powder to water or other liquid (I use a tablespoon and a tiny prep-bowl) and found that 2:1 works out pretty well for me -- thick, but not too thick and it starts to solidify in about 15 minutes and then I can peel most of it off. I add a couple of extra drops of water, if needed. I just put it on with my fingers. If I apply too little, the mask gets crumbly and I need to rinse it off. And if I apply too much, it takes forever to dry and I end up using a washcloth to get it all off. The ratio of powder water is very forgiving and no matter how I mix it, my face feels soft and smooth once I remove the mask, and I follow up with a moisturizer. I chose the hyaluronic acid version of this mask and it is housed in a simple clear plastic jar. The powder is a light blue with tiny flecks of rose petals. The mask turns bright blue once the water is added, but it looks clear once applied. Most of the tiny flecks become pulverized during the mixing. The scent is pleasant and not very strong. The jar holds a lot of powder so it should last a long time and make many, many masks. I haven't tried using anything except water, but I will definitely try it with milk or honey. The jar has a cardboard disc under the cap and a foil seal, but it had separated on the product I received. I did spot test on my inner arm a few times before using this on my face. I found out that it works great on my hands, too! The price seems reasonable.

Once you past the messiness of mixing and applying this is a great product. I have extremely sensitive skin and had absolutely no adverse reaction of any sort to using this. It left my skin soft and really well moisturized. It does everything the ad says it will do. Getting such a large jar of product means it will last for quite a while. I really love this product and only took off 1 star because of the messy factor.

It does not come with a measuring tool or anything besides the bin of product. It's kind of high maintenance because you mix the powder with water with a 4:1 ratio. Then you slather it on which is very messy Then wait 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure you don't put it on any areas of your hair like I accidentally do often. There are little bits of rose in here which I like. I feel like it's a trial and error thing. Since there's a learning curve. It takes time to figure out how much to mix up, and evenly distributing is another thing. My face felt clean and moisturized afterwards. This is a large bin, and it will last an incredibly long time. It's nice to be able to do professional level tampering at home or for others if you wish. You could have a spa day with your friends, or just pamper yourself every week because you're worth it. So many of us give so much to others and not ourselves, and it can really throw your life off track. Not filling your own cup. I do things like that to help because the more energy you put into yourself, the more good energy you will attract back to yourself. Anyway, I am a big fan of K Beauty products. This is my first experience using a jelly mask, but I guess I prefer less maintenance and mess, but that's just my personal preference. Also, this tastes sweet so if you have an insect problem, be careful about leaving residue behind to avoid issues.

I have never used a jelly mask before and wasn't sure how much to mix up. I ended up doing three tablespoons of product and two tablespoons of water. It mixed up thick but was easy to stir until all particles were dissolved. It isn't easy to apply without a spatula or something that will apply it evenly, trying to do it with your fingers is a mess. I ended up not using all the mix that I mixed up and applying a thin layer. It feels good when applied and has a cooling feeling while it dries. I don't think I put enough on because it was difficult to get the mask off and I had to use water to remove it but after it was completely off, my skin felt fantastic. I will try doing this again and try to get it right because it is worth trying it again to get my skin feeling great, soft and glowing.

The instructions say to mix 4 parts powder with 3 parts water. I have noticed that the powder particles do not break down all the way unless you use hot water. I found it gritty with cold water and the mask didn't peel off properly. When I used hot water, the texture was much smoother and it applied and peeled off easily. It is hard to apply evenly on your face, so I just do my best. After 7 or 8 minutes of wearing the mask, I can feel it firming up. I have used this a few times already and it hasn't caused any skin irritation or breakouts. As a powder the smell is okay, but it smells pleasant, maybe floral, once it is mixed. Try to avoid getting the mask in your hair or eyebrows. The mask doesn't peel off my hair, but it does come off easily with water. It has a cooling/soothing feeling to the skin and my face is soft after use and also feels a little tight.

You get a lot of product contained in this jar. It is easy to mix with water and you can make it the consistency you want. After setting, It seems extremely hydrating, moisturizing and I really enjoyed the mask. It has many many applications and with the recent coupon, it is an amazing deal.
