ClarksHamble Oak, Women's Brogues

The "wide" variety fits my feet perfectly!
As my feet got wider in recent years, unless I'm purchasing sneakers, I more often than not need to go for a wider option, if available. To this end, after trying and returning many (MANY..) pairs of boots that each and every one were proving their claims of "extra width" false, I have finally stumbled upon these here smart-looking brogues by Clarks. The shoes look really smart and fit basically any outfit you might want to assemble for work. They are very easy to put on and extremely comfortable when worn. Tying the laces is a little hard as the laces might be a tad hard to pull tight due to the ladder lacing method used, but that can be easily corrected by relacing them using the normal criss-cross method, if desired. As for the fitting - I used to be a standard 6, but as I mentioned above, my feet grew a little in both width and - it seems - in length as well. As i measured them (by outlining them on paper) and comparing that with Clarks size charts, I estimated that 6.5 wide should be about right. Sadly, the only sizes available in the vicinity were 6, 6.5, 7, and 6 wide and finally 7 wide. As I was really, really set on NOT returning another pair of boots frustrated at their mismatch, I decided that this time, I'm going to be safe rather than sorry and so went for the 7 wide option. This has turned out rather well, actually! While the elongated nose is a smidgen too long, admittedly it is also very narrow still. Were I to pick a 6 wide, my toes would have a hard time squeeshing in, no doubt. Therefore, having a little extra room in there doesn't seem that bad in comparison (the distance from my big toe to the inside tip of the nose seems to be around 1 - 1.5cm).The insides feel extremely gentle, well profiled and comfy. The insole is supportive and very nice to the touch. You can feel these are good quality shoes. When tied up nice and walking around, the shoes seem to have a little space at the heel as well (very little, just enough so the shoe slips a little up and down with each step, but not nerarly enough to squeeze a finder in there, or be visible really) but that's not really an issue, either. Now as for the midsection width, it's perfect - the shoe fits very well, ensompassing the foot with no "jiggling about" of the foot (that happens when the shoe is too wide), but still there is just enough space that I could - if I wanted - to put on a little thicker socks instead, for the colder days. They *do* require a little of breaking in though - or perhaps just getting the back side of your heel accustomed to these? - because after the first day of wearing them I did end up withn a blister where the rim of the shoe touches the tendon area above the heel at the back. That's nothing a good blister plaster won't fix and is nowehere near the level of breaking in boots like Martens etc. Plus, the rim at the back does have a little extra padding as well (see the pics attached). Finally, I have lower back problems and can't wear heals and these shoes are perfect! The heel is hardly 2 cm tall (just below an inch) and I can't really tell there's any heel at all, when walking. To me that's ideal.PS also, the price is to die for (25 in promo currently), and I don't think you'd be able to find this quality even for twice that! Shoes highly recommended!

Very comfortable
These are perfect for work if you are on your feet all day and have to wear a uniform . I’m always between an 8 and a 9 so sizing can be difficult. I wear these with thin black socks and they fit like a glove . Comfortable from day one .

Smart and comfortable, pity about the lining colour
I’ve bought the same style in the past and have always received compliments. After many years I required a new pair and bought several pairs on sale in February 2023. They fit well, but it’s a shame as the lining is now beige rather than black as was in the past, and can be slightly jarring if you’re wearing all-black otherwise. Also 2 out of the 3 pairs I purchased were either scratched, 1 quite badly, or had odd creases in the leather, and I had to return those which was unfortunate. Other than that, the one pair that did not have damage/defects(?) were The very comfortable and I hope they last a long time like my previous ones!

Comfy and durable
I purchased this pair of shoes 3 months ago for my work in hospitality, and I must say, I am quite impressed with them. Typically wearing a size 38, I opted for a size 5 1/2 this time so I can put in a console and they fit perfectly. These shoes are incredibly comfortable and blend seamlessly with my work attire. Standing for over eight hours a day, I rely on these shoes for the necessary support, and they deliver exceptionally well. Made with genuine leather, the shoes promise durability and quality craftsmanship.I particularly appreciate the little cushion at the heel, which ensures that even on the first day of wearing them, I experience no pain or discomfort. Overall, these Clarks leather shoes are a fantastic addition to my work wardrobe, providing both style and comfort for long hours on my feet in the hospitality industry.

Buy these shoes, they're so comfy!
If you are at all unsure about buying these, don't be. They are worth every penny! These shoes are so nice to wear!Initially they were very narrow for my feet and I wish I'd known Clarks also sell these in a wide fit, will know that for next time!I usually wear a size 4 and the size 4 fits me fine in these too, as I say they do come up quite narrow but most brogues do I suppose. They are very comfy now they're worn in a bit, look great with any outfit and I get so many compliments on how cute my shoes are.I love them to bits and recommend them to anyone! They are the first decent pair of shoes I have purchased in a long time and I would 100% buy them again. They're also great in wet weather, I've worn mine in many torrential downpours already and my feet have stayed comfy and dry!I work in retail and do long shifts, these shoes have been perfect for that and are equally as comfy on the drive home after.I don't like taking them off at n

narrow fitted shoe
I was disappointed with this shoe as I bought the same model of this shoe in Navy a few years ago and it is very comfortable to wear. I ordered 3 pairs of this shoe a 4 a 41/2 and a 4 wide have had to return all 3 as none really felt good. The 4 wide did not seem wide over the foot but felt wide at heel.Still a nice looking shoe
