Work well & look great
Quality valves, easy to fit & look smart with my black radiator.Only word of caution is use enough PTFE tape!I didn't & found a leak where they screwed into the rad - only option was to drain, remove, tape properly & refit - my fault & lesson learnt - all fit without leaks now

Looks good on old school rads
This black TRV is good quality. It comes with lock shield 1/2” thread so it will be suitable for the vast majority of radiators out there. For those diyers out there it’ll be worth grabbing some PTFE tape to help with your installation (thread of insert and on the olive only!)This TRV and lockshield is robust, easy to install and looks good quality - adding a touch of class to a radiator - they look particularly good on the old school rads.

Easy to use
We have become a dab hand at DIY and plumbing since buying our house and watching alot of videos! So learning how to swap radiators and valves etc now comes with ease! These were simple and easy enough to fit and look sleek in our part finished rennovating kitchen! I like the matt finish it looks very sleek and modern and suits perfectly. Good quality item and would purchase more! My only change would be the colours of the numbers, I would personally have a nice shiny black colour for those with the rest being matt.

Great craftsmanship, value for money, lovely finish. Would recommend.
Since being involved in our seemingly never ending renovation, I have come to appreciate craftsmanship and learn a fair bit about plumbing. Not to say I’m any kind of expert, I’m not in the slightest, but I would like to think I can more easily recognise good quality.I’ve ordered from Sandy Beach a couple of times now and the quality of their products has been very good, and the finish has been excellent. This angled thermostatic radiator and lock shield valve is no different and is beautifully designed and turned out.The anthracite black finish fits in with the room we are currently working on and I just love! love! love! the PINK !It’s these extra little finishing touches which we try to add.It is well made, good value, works perfectly and if ever a valve looked good it’s this one!I’m very happy with them and have reordered with them and will recommend them to others.I hope you find my review helpful.

Modern-looking valve
This black valve is compatible with standard 15mm radiators. The Sandy Beach TRV Thermostatic Angled Straight Radiator Valve is made of lightweight yet durable brass and features a sleek and modern design that will complement almost anthracite radiators and towel rails.Furthermore, this valve has a cutting ring inlet connection that makes it simple to install and use, allowing anyone to enjoy the comfort of a regulated temperature in any room. It also includes a lockshield for added security, preventing access from children or pets and tampering. In terms of performance, its adjustable temperature control allows for precise control of temperatures in the 7-28°C range, about an optimal flow temp. of 120°C. All while maintaining a low static pressure, ensuring that the radiator is not damaged.Overall, this valve is a fine choice for regulating the temperature of any room.

Looks smart, but is narrower and paint does chip
I put these on a small radiator and had a couple of issues with them. They do look very smart now they are on and working and these are the two issues I had. The compression fitting nuts are slimmer than a standard fitting and by standard I mean any normal compression valve or fitting so I had difficulty getting the nut over a bent pipe, I struggled to get it down enough to get the tape on the olive and get the fitting on far enough, I had to file the pipe down a little to take a bit off the curves and it just wiggled over with some persuasion whereas the other standard nuts just fell over the curves. The fitting does fit perfectly well onto 15mm pipes it’s just not as thick. The other issue I had was the paint, it’s been given a very thick layering of mat black paint, looks like it’s been dipped, but it’s not powder coated or certainly isn’t a strong one because using the right size spanner and protective card it still chipped off some of the paint on the nuts before I’d fully tightened it. It’s easy to touch up as I’ve got some black radiator touch up paint but still it’s annoying. The valves themselves work very well, the threads are smooth to turn and there isn’t any wobbling on the thermostatic valve. The link writing looks very good with the black, very pleased with the finish.
