Too Short Waisted
These are "almost perfect" pull on joggers, but they are too short waisted for a 10 year old, like "hip hugger" cuts of the early 00's. (She wears a size 8 in these, and in other jeans and leggings.) The rise is unusually short, with a low cut belly-dancer type waist that is neither practical, comfortable (or age-appropriate) for a young girl, with all the non-stop movement, activity and play they engage in, at this age. For example, they're cut so low on my daughter's waist (and she's a petite and slim 55 lbs.) and the rise was so short that when she bent over or squatted, her underwear popped up out of the top. No kid should have to be self-conscious or have to worry about that when playing at recess, etc. The waist needs to be at least 3" higher for these to be functional and appropriate for their intended purpose. With the current low rise, it makes the whole point of easy, flowy, comfortable, casual jogger/pull-on style pants obsolete. Also the waist varied widely between the dark one and the light one--the light multi-elastic layer ruched waist version was 3" (a total of 6") wider than the dark joggers, and the nature of that design makes it unable to be altered by a tailor. She also said the ruching was uncomfortable against her skin, but she liked the joggers. The fabric is light and breathable, perfect for summer, and it's too bad these have to go back because of the unwearable low waist/short rise. With a re-design and a higher rise, this could be the perfect light summer pant. Fix this issue and we'd be first in line!

Only one pair fits correctly
My daughter complained about the size of the olive green pants, but the blue jean pants were really nice on her.

Waist size did not go with the rest of the garment.
While the leggings seemed to fit perfectly, the waist was too large for my granddaughter. I returned them.

My daughters a chunky 9, I bought 10-12
True to size, my daughter hates jeans and loves these because they’re visually exactly like skinny jeans but the fit and feel is that of jeggings. She hates jeans and wears these because they’re comfy. 10-12 is long on her, she’s a short, slightly chunk 8-9 but these were perfect. If your child is slim buy the size they need, a little extra to hug? A size up. Good quality, withstands washes beautifully. Worth the $$
