BILITOOLS M8X1.25 Thread Repair Kit, HSS Drill Helicoil Repair Ket Metric

I had doughts with this set... but surprised me, bolt snapped in an alternator... was able to drill it out with the provided drill bit, bit of wd40 and went silky smooth. The insert went in without a hitch into the tapped hole. The tap was very smooth and cut easily. Helical coil also went in very well. Had to remove the rubber boot on the punch tool as I had to go through the bolt hole on opposite side. New bolt threaded in just tight enough as not to worry. Will definatley use this again. But I hope not! :)

this product saved my BUTT. we used it in my Dodge RAM exhaust manifold.

What a kit. I want one in every size. Every tool in the kit worked great. Made installation of my bar studs are stripping then out easy. This kit was fully compatible came with every piece I needed for the entire job minus the drill*. Everything was a perfect fit, the system was solid. Sealed right. What a versatile kit I can't wait to use on other projects

I used these to repair the fork bolts on my bike (one bolt broke-off, the other had the head completely stripped). After drilling out the old bolts, everything went smoothly until I put the coil into the hole and tried to break-off the tab. Normally you screw-in the new coil, then reverse the tool to snap-off the end of the coil (that would be blocking the bolt), and it should pop relatively easily. The first coil I put in, the end would not snap-off... and it was critical that it did since the bolt would have to pass all the way through the new coil. I had to remove the coil (no easy task) and try again. Luckily the next one worked better, but it was still tougher than the Heli-Coil kits I've used before. They definitely need to notch those ends better. Aside from that, I had zero issues and the new threads are working as intended.
