Excellent torch prop
I was the Ghost of Christmas Present and this torch was a perfect fit

Concept is cool
Bought this as part of a Statue of Liberty costume. Initially the plan was to buy a Statue of Liberty costume but we didn't get it in time for Halloween. Please don't judge, as this picture is of a last minute makeshift Statue of Liberty costume. LOL I wanted to drape the same fabric over this "torch" but couldn't do it fully because it blocked the air circulation from the bottom. I cut enough to cover some of the top piece, then rolled some of the material on the handle so that it was the same color. When it was working, it served it's purpose, however after charging it for hours, it only worked for about 25 minutes. I would have given this 5 stars if it had lasted longer, at least enough time to trick or treat!

Get the small one! (Or none?)
My first advice here is to look at the video in the product description. It is the best way to see what this actually looks like and whether or not it'll be a good fit for you. All the images have this fake fire added that it kind of misleading, and often the proportions are wrong. You have to choose between the larger or smaller one. In my opinion, the smaller is the superior choice. The fire looks more realistic, doesn't flop down as much as the larger one, and it comes with a chain that you can suspend it on for a different look. Both come with the handle to use it as a hand-held torch.Notes of interest:-You can't put it flat on a table, the fan isn't going to be able to draw enough air to keep the flames up.-You're also probably going to want to put it so the base of the flame is above eye level, ideally, so that you don't see the powerful red LEDs that are lighting this thing. They are really annoying to look at, even if just out of the corner of your eye.-It's a fan keeping this thing up; probably don't want to place it somewhere where anything can be dropped into it, haha.-Like any fan, it does make a bit of noise.Overall, it works fine, does what it's supposed to do. Not really viable as a permanent light in my opinion. So perhaps it works out as a holiday / Halloween decoration, or as a prop in a skit about the Olympics. :) But in the end, my main question to myself is... why did I get this?

I should have gotten the smaller one, I think.
Here is my reasoning:The bigger one HAS to be on the torch. If you sit it down anywhere where the fan would be covered it will no longer blow air through it, effectively ruining the whole fire vibe. You can stand it on a table, sure. But its top heavy so it wont take much to knock it over. The smaller one, at least from the video, looks like it has a plastic chain you can hang it from, which means you could get the hanging castle lantern kind of look from it, and keep your hands free... not too many houses around here have a torch holder built on to them these days so you're kind of stuck just holding the larger one or risk it falling if its on a table. Great for a costume though, or if you have a sturdy table that you don't have to worry about a gust of wind knocking it over.Secondly, the torch piece to attach is kind of flimsy as its, I'm guessing, hollow plastic? as well, the plastic covering the fan is thin, which also adds into the second issue. It's two small plastic notches on the torch that you find the holes for on the fire/fan piece. You put those notches in the holes and then turn carefully to get them to attach to each other. You can hear it making cracking noises very easily. The minute that one of those notches breaks, or the hole in which you're putting the notches into cracks. That's it. This does not even mean just putting them together. Once they're attached, a drop could break the notches or crack the fan holes hence why it being top heavy makes it seem like, standing it on a table seems problematic. If those notches or the fan plastic breaks, you can't really use it as intended as the bottom cannot be covered or it won't blow air up to give the fire effect.I think if it came with a plastic chain even to hang it, would make more sense. The smaller one seems to have that, which to me, seems like the better choice in my opinion. The price at time of review is $26.99 CAD. It's priced fine as similar typed products tend to be close to the same price.

USB chargeable fake Fire Torch
This is the 3D LED Fake Fire Lamp Flames Effect Light USB Powered Electric Fake Campfire Lamp Artificial Flickering Flame Table Lamp Halloween Christmas Party Decorations Holiday Supplies for Bar, Stage, Home(Medium). Okay I'm not going to lie, I was a little bit disappointed when I received this. It kind of reminds me of the torch that the Statue of Liberty is holding lol. I had to adjust this myself because it just looked ridiculous. Basically it's a black handle with a circular base that blows air similar to a blow dryer and it had a tube of red sheep polyester fabric sewn around a light source in the center. When this was turned on the tube would wiggle around in a circle similar to one of those weird wind socks lol. So what I did was I cut the end of it into a sort of pointy Jiggy flame like shape and that did help improve it. It does a little bit look like fire but not very much a little more in pictures are on film than in person. The worst part about this though honestly is the noise it sounds like you're using a blow dryer it's very loud the motor runs Extremely Loud like a blow dryer. I guess because there is a fan in there blowing it's going to make quite a bit of noise. It's a bit overpriced for what you get but it would be safe for children. There's no way to use this without the handle on it when you take the handle off and sit it down it blocks the air vent and won't blow. The build quality is pretty good it's a little cheaply made but there's nothing really wrong with it. It charges up via USB takes about 4 hours and gives you about 2 hours of solid use once it's done. Everything is operating correctly with this unit and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong such as cracks or snags in the plastic. Everything works well it's just kind of cheap and not very realistic.

It’s a fake flame that looks like a fake flame - this isn’t a complaint
This is exactly what it looks like. It’s a small fan with some light orange cloth attached which sort of resembles fire when it’s turned on. From a bit of a distance, it’s more convincing than it is up close. I ordered the small because the cloth for the medium looks like a square of cloth, although I know it could likely be trimmed to more of a flame shape. This is a rechargeable item and has just one setting which is accessed on the base. It’s either on or off and it’s that simple. This comes with a charging cable, and with a torch handle and a hanger and it’s easy enough to use this with both of those options. This can’t be just sat on a flat surface, though, because it impedes the airflow to the fan and the cloth falls flat.I’ll hang this out at Halloween which is the ideal use for it. I don’t need parents worrying that their kids are walking near an open flame wearing Halloween costumes that would probably melt if they touched fire. This item is a bit on the camp side of things but I feel like that’s its intended niche. It works well enough for me.

This was okay.
The make-believe flame that looks fake unless you're really far away.I ordered this, knowing not to expect much. I am planning on using this in our window (a distance from our front door) with other Halloween decorations so they will get noticed. I like that it came with a torch stand and hanger, which are easy to set up. I didn't like that if you place it flat on the counter, the flame doesn't flap. (I thought it would do that)This came with easy-to-read instructions. Overall, I would rate this a 3.5 out of 5.
