I got this specifically because it not only has a pill cutter but a crusher. My over 50 husband really struggles taking tablets and this is starting to become an issue as health issues begin.The pill cutter is super easy to use and effective, because it has a flexible silicone barrier you can easily cut a pill multiple times into smaller and smaller pieces. The blurb states you can cut each pill into eighths but I haven't tested it that far - most I have done is quarters.The crusher is two toothed plastic plates in a compartment under the pill cutter. I wouldn't recommend trying to crush a full pill in one go but rather cut it into at least halves, in my experience quarters work best. You can't get it down to a fine powder but certainly down into small enough pieces to allow you to pop it on a spoon and mix with a viscous liquid (husband prefers milk) to aid taking it. This isn't official medical advice but it does seem to work. The problem I have is closing the compartment after use, it is really finnicky and awkward to close and I found I had to shift the top compartment a little bit to one side to be able to close it - this could be a problem if you have hand strength or motility issues.There are 3 large pill compartments so will be really useful when we go away for popping my regular medication in. I really like the brush/tweezer combo it comes with as well. Makes it super easy to get all the bits of your crushed pill out.Sturdy plastic construction that is semi-transparent in a smoky finish.

This small pill storage case is made from a strong plastic, which is translucent, and has an aqua blue hue to it. It feels quite strong as the plastic is reasonably thick, so it feels quite robust. The lids are held down with a simple click clasp and hold well so I’ve had no issue with them springing open on their own. There are two compartments with the first, larger one being where you store your medication which is divided into three sections. There is also a small brush at front which can be used to clean out any powder or debris from the pill cutter. The cutter is in a compartment of its own with its own lid. It kind of has two lids as if you lift the first one, it reveals the pill cutter and if you lift the second lid, it reveals the pill crusher. The pill cutter has a blade which is fixed into the lid and the bottom of the compartment has a rubber mat which keeps the pill in place. The rubber is removeable, so it is easy to keep clean. The second lid reveals a spiked area in the lid and base and is used to crush pills into smaller pieces. I find the pill cutter to be quite useful as I don’t need a full paracetamol to work for me, so cutting one in half makes sense. It is easy to cut a pill and doesn’t require too much pressure so is easy to use. The pill crusher also works well as my son finds it troublesome to swallow pills so crushing it down to smaller pieces helps him. You do need to apply a bit more pressure for the crusher to work but it works well. A nice, compact pill storage case with cutting and crushing capabilities. A very nice item…

I got this for the tablets our cats need. It’s really handy to be able to crush them before putting into food. Also, they often have to have half a tablet and using a knife it’s very hit and miss whether it works. This little gadget is so useful and allows me to store up tablets as well. I know it’s made for humans but is invaluable for our pets too.
