Acer Iconia One 7 B1-7A0 Tablet (MediaTek 8167B Processor, 1 GB RAM, 16GB eMMC, 7 inch Display, Android 7.0, White)

I have just bought a second Acer Iconia One 10, two years after I bought one for my wife. My Windows 10 tablet had just been rendered totally un-repairable following its last Windows update, so I went for this Android tablet because I am so impressed with my wife’s tablet. It’s easy to use, reliable, great battery life and very good value. Yes, it is short of memory, but I inserted a 256Gb micro SD card into the top slot – which works perfectly.This Acer tablet is absolutely reliable and has incredible standby battery life. I use mine for playing FLAC audio files via WiFi from my network server. I have downloaded a NAS music player app which is much better than my old Windows Media Player and accesses my network server quickly and reliably. It also lets me Cast to my TV, WD media player and B&O music system. This is moderately demanding on the processor - streaming over WiFi, decompressing FLAC on-the-fly and Casting to another device - and the Acer handles it seamlessly.I also use Bose headphones. The tablet headphone quality, without proper setting-up, has no bass and too much treble but is distortion-free. BUT, it is excellent after going into Settings, Audio then enabling the headphone best quality button. I then downloaded a Headphone Equaliser app (cost £1.99) which sets up the optimum frequency levels for your specific headphones – and it now sounds excellent. Playing wide dynamic range classical music there is no distortion at all and the equalisation is perfect. With no audio playing, the sound output is completely silent - no hiss, pops or crackles, which I've experienced with some other Android tablets.The screen quality is good too, giving excellent HD viewing of videos with the free VLC video app. My tablet automatically downloaded two major Nougat 7 Android updates. My only very minor criticism of this Acer Iconia is the lengthy boot-up time. But otherwise I unreservedly recommend this excellent tablet.

Cheap and good. Suits me well to catch up on news, TV and film progs and google searches while away from main TV. Ideal at dawn in bed or late at night. Easy to operate and longish run (6-8 hours) on full charge. Suits me and I've had one of this model before a few years ago. First one now used by wife. Very handy to take anywhere almost, especially occasional hotel rooms. Sharp pix and good sound level. Also ideal to use with headphones. Was sometimes awkward to hold onto for longer periods so bought a little rack (£1.80ish) to attach it to and then better grasp. Friend and a relative each bought one when they saw my satisfaction. So..... Let joy be unconfined!

I bought this primarily for use with my drones as a cheap FPV monitor with a decent screen size.It works well for DJI Go, DJI Go4 and Litchi, with decent resolution, hardly any lag and no glitches or crashes so far.As a general tablet it also works pretty well. Obviously it is not compatible with certain apps that require a better processor and more memory so a gaming tablet it aint.Certain apps that claim to not be compatible can be forced onto the tablet and used just fine.The touch screen responsiveness is good enough but not as accurate as the more expensive devices.It is pretty sturdy and robust, well built and feels decent in your hand. Not slippy like a lot of devices.It does seem to slow down over time and I have struggled with this. I don't think that this is a problem with the tablet so much as with the OS. This seems to be a common problem nowadays and FB, Instagram and general use can become severely effected. This problem can be easily remedied as long as you back up your app settings (and the contents of your Micro SD card) and are willing to factory restore the device from time to time. This is easy enough to do and takes up to an hour (depending on how many apps you have installed). Once reset, you can restore all of your settings easily from Google backup and restore and everything installs automatically until you are back to how you were before but free from the annoying lag buildup.For the money, this tablet is more than worth it. I would suggest to all DJI users that (at the moment) this is one of the best value options in terms of a larger monitor for use with your drone (particularly as this tablet has GPS functionality).For general use this is also an incredibly good, budget option and is ideal for social media, video streaming (Netflix, Prime Video etc) and general use. The sound quality from the built in speaker is not great so use of headphones or a Bluetooth (or wired) speaker(s) is recommended.

DO NOT purchase from KWarehouse! I brought 2 tablets as gifts and when I opened the first one to set it up it was clearly not a new tablet! Scratches on the screen, no protective film, no instructions or warranty and cracks that had been glued on the other casing. I then went on to check my second one and again clearly it new! Stains on the back of the tablet, charger port black with dirt and dust and dents on lost of the corners! Upon contacting the seller no actual apology, they just tried to place the blame on the amazon warehouse stating it just of happened there! I don't think so!

I brought this back in 2016 and now it is slow. Doesn’t work properly. So now I’m an Apple person. Not getting an android anymore

Il tablet in se non è male considerando anche il prezzo molto basso. A me serviva un tablet di poche pretese solo per leggere fumetti con Perfect Viewer. La qualità dello schermo è accettabile così come la dotazione hardware, non ho avuto blocchi o rallentamenti durante l'utilizzo del browser o durante la lettura dei fumetti. Purtroppo, nota dolente, nonostante sia un prodotto nuovo, è comunque di produzione molto vecchia e la batteria ne ha risentito. Impiega una giornata intera a ricaricarsi e meno di una giornata per scaricarsi. Appena preso andava un po' meglio ma in poco tempo la situazione è peggiorata parecchio. Ora anche tenendolo in stand by, con wifi e tutto il resto spento, senza toccarlo o farci nulla, in 10 ore la batteria è scesa dal 100% al 50%. Se continuava ad andare come quando l'ho preso ci sarei passato sopra ma così comè adesso è praticamente inutilizzabile ed è evidente che peggiorerà ancora. Non sono contento di restituirlo (anche perchè quando restituisci tablet e telefoni restano cover e varie protezioni schermo inutilizzabili) ma non posso fare altrimenti.

Il prodotto lo conosco bene dato che ne ho un altro identico, solo non capisco perchè non ci sia un adattore per l'alimentatore da spina americana a quella italiana
