The tripod mount on my Sony audio recorder is on the center back of the unit, which means I can’t connect it to a tripod mount unless the recorder is laying flat (horizontal). I’ve been looking for a way to attach the recorder to a mount where it stands up vertically. Then I found this bracket and it solved all my problems! I use a tripod bar mount that holds multiple devices and most of time I connect the bar to my GoPro chest mount, hence the need for the Sony recorder to stand up vertically and not poke me in the chest. This bracket is very sturdy and the two pieces (the base and the back) screw together to form an “L” shaped support bracket. The bottom part screws down nice and tight to the bar mount, so I feel very confident that my recorder will always stay in place. The added advantage is this bracket has multiple holes of varying sizes so you can screw it down to a tripod or another type of device mount in practically any position that suits you. It also has rubber padding on the back so my recorder won’t get scratched. I am over the moon happy with this purchase!
