I bought theses for my elderly cat who had two bouts of cystitis. I was told by the vet that she would be on these for the rest of her life, and also on a low phosphorous diet. The fact that cats do not drink a lot of water could be a contributing factor in cystitis, I did however purchase a water fountain at the same time as acquiring these tablets, and have seen a marked improvement in water intake, just for the record. I'm so glad I can get these capsules on amazon as it saves me repeated visits to the vets.
