brings new life to an old iMac
Removed the chassis from the soft case, replaced the SSD with a 2TB 860 PRO from Samsung and attached it to the 2011 Mid iMac Thunderbolt port, transferred the boot drive contents to it, reassigned the boot dive to it and now the iMac boots up nice and fast, apps spring to life. Took the 500TB SSD and replaced the HD in a Dell laptop with it and installed a 250 GB NVMe, copied the boot disk to that memory and assigned it to be the boot drive, and now it is nice and fast on boot up and opening apps.

Rugged LaCie
This is my 3rd LaCie product and all are excellent as portable hard drives. I use them from my Mac's and they interface with the OS very easily without any issues. I don't abuse them to extent of having to confirm if there rugged design stands up to there claim but suspect they will meet all the challenges given. Definitely recommend them.
