Easy to use and very effective to transfer collecter rain water from a barrel to my garden hose.

I usually wait until I've had time to really use a product before I write a review. Let me say this one did not disappoint. I've had it a couple of years now and bought it mostly to use in our camper when we go dry camping (if you want to call it that). Our camper only holds 40 gallons of water. We usually take some extra water containers along as we tend to run out of water; especially if we are out camping for 4-5 days. I use this pump to help transfer the water from our containers to the storage tank. Getting older I find it more difficult to lift the containers we use for water. It is powerful and usually will transfer 7 gallons of water in about 2-3 minutes. I bought this particular one because it has an on/off switch when I need to move the hose from once container to the other. It is a little loud as others have stated but since I really don't use it that long, I can tolerate it for the 5-10 minutes or so that I am using it. Since I have a generator, I plug the pump directly into the generator and it provides more than enough power for this pump. I have even referred this pump to my family and friends. So far I haven't had any issues with it and for the price I paid, it has more than paid for itself and saved my back.

What you should know: This gets the job done!! I read some reviews where some have had issues with this not working properly or breaking after a few uses but this has not been my experience and I have put this little pump to WORK! I use this pump to transfer water from my rain barrel to a IBC tote in my garden area, which is about 100 ft away. I have used it multiple times to transfer water and never have any issues. The pump is loud, but not lawnmower loud. The noise is not an issue for me since I'm using it outdoors and I didn't expect it to be quiet. I do want to say that we are using a heavy duty hose that doesn't really kink when we transfer water, so if leaking or reduced water flow is an issue, you may want to consider a good quality hose. I have been very satisfied with this pump and have recommended it to my friends as well.

Kind of a impressive little pump. It pulled water from about 30ft so i has good suction. It might be a bit loud but not bad. Easy to set up. We didn't use this for very long so I cannot comment on how long it will last.
