Dear Girl: An Empowering Story About Confidence and Being Yourself for Children (Ages 4–8)

Beautiful book!! Honestly perfect for any age. This one, Dear Baby, and Dear Boy are my go-to purchases for baby showers and kiddos’ birthdays if they don’t own it already. Super empowering and inspiring, first time I read it I teared up.

I gave this to my daughter on her graduation night. It’s perfect to give on their first adventure away from home.

Ignore the age recommendation. My 9 mo old GD is captivated. The illustrations are beautiful. If you’re consciously replacing media’s brainwashing /programming/brain rotting agenda, this book will be a staple & treasure. It doesn’t matter how much my granddaughter understands right now - repetition works. 🥰🤞🏻💪🏼🌞

This book would be nice for a 5 year old and up. I bought it for my 1 year old daughter, and the illustrations do not grab her attention at all. It reads like a manual so nothing poetic or rhythmic about how it is written. It is also pretty lengthy. Not going to lie, it’s not my favorite book, but it’s definitely a must read for every little girl.

This is one of my daughter's favorite book. She used to get the book in the form that reads to you from the library and listen to it over and over and over again. She has read this so many time from age 5 to age 9... and I expect it to continue. Its become a bit of a mantra for her. It is such a great book.

El libro que TODA NIÑA debería leer en su infancia. Imprescindible. Conmovedor. Alentador. Con frases como “ama tus pecas”, “a veces tendrás ganas de llorar, no pasa nada”, “no hace falta ser perfecta”, “aprende a llevarte bien con los que sean diferentes a ti”... En fin, para leerlo y tenerlo muy presente en esos momentos en los que crecen y les flaquea la autoestima.

Beautiful book for females of any age it keeps reminding us to love ourselves .I did enjoy reading this book with my daughter.

This book is decent and conveys a good message. However, it doesn't quite capture a child's attention, so we rarely come back to it

We love this book in our house. I bought one for each of my daughters and it’s the book their teachers write in at the end of the year. I’ll give them their book to keep when they graduate. They’ll have the wonderful message of “Dear Girl” with a meaningful message from every teacher that has impacted their lives. The response from every teacher about the message in the book has been a raving positive review. It’s so encouraging and empowering. I plan to buy Dear Boy for my son when he turns school aged too.
