We have a very heavy sofa with a metal frame and two electric motors to operate recliners on each side of it. We put eight sliders under it and my wife and I were able to move it fairly easily. We weigh 100 and 115 pounds and are seniors. The carpet we moved it on is low nap. I'll never try to drag furniture over a carpet again without these sliders for fear of hurting the carpet. It does work best as a two-person job with one person to lift the item up a little, and the other to insert sliders under the feet. And it's easiest for two people to move it to "steer" better. But probably one person could manage it if the were younger and stronger than we are. I recommend this product to everyone. No home should be without this type of device.

These movers are a lifesaver for me! For someone who lives alone, or is unable to lift heavy pieces of furniture, this is an answer to your prayers. I had purchased a new curio and had to move my furniture around and knew I would not be able to do so without risk of injury to myself or my new cabinet. When these arrived, I could barely imagine this would do the trick, but I am so glad I was wrong, Once placed under the piece, they make it accessible to move anything and it actually glides with little effort.Also included are covers if you have hardwood floors, which is a wonderful bonus. I would recommend these highly!

Could be sturdier but useful.

Absolutely necessary for moving furniture on carpet with a deep pile (1/2"). You can get 8 of these 4.75" size at Home Depot for less (never thought of checking there). My wife and I wondered why we never thought of these before. Heavy furniture are a breeze to move with moveables. I even painted them black to become less obtrusive against a deep blue carpet. We purchased 7-1/2" tan color for our large sleeper couch - pained them also.
