Sleepover Sleuths (Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew #1)

I've been slowly building up my library of Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew books for my daughter. She's just learning to read, so I still read these to her for the time being, but she's hooked. She's converted her night stand in her room into the Clue Crew's desk, complete with a pretend computer, notebook, and pen. She has also gotten her best friend hooked on these books, and they developed a cute trading system, so that they don't both buy the same books, and once they finish a book, they trade it with each other for books they haven't read yet! The fun thing about these books is that they're an easy read, the mysteries and plot twists are not so complicated that a young reader or listener can't keep up, the subject matter has so far always been age appropriate as has the writing and themes (ie, no romance, nothing scary, nothing adult, etc), and there are enough clues in the story that your child might actually figure out the mystery before Nancy does (leading to an immense sense of satisfaction for your child). We love these books. Highly recommend them.

Great Series!! I purchased Books 1-8, for an 8-year old...she absolutely loves them. She enjoys reading, and since she is required to read 30-minutes every night for school, the chapter books come in very handy. She often finds herself reading more than 30-minutes, because she wants to finish a certain chapter, etc. The stories are great, fun, interesting, the illustrations are okay. She looks forward to following the main characters throughout the different series. Also worth mentioning, is the "activity" page within the books; they are projects that can be done later if interested, and if you enjoy doing some craft with your little ones every once in a while, it's a nice addition (sometimes she wants to do them...thankfully not always). This book is in paperback and not hardcover for the price I paid...other then that it is a good item or product for a young detective.

Gave this to my 9 year old niece, hoping she'd enjoy the sleuthing and puzzling aspect. Well, she's obsessed--and racking up tons of AR points without having to try very hard. I don't know how much the books really resemble the original series I devoured as a kid, but it at least seems to have the same appeal to a younger generation. Highly recommended!

Bought this book for my 7 yr old granddaughter. I gave it to her when she came over for a visit. By the time she left, she had read the whole book.... Cover to cover! She didn't even want to put it down to eat dinner. It is perfect for her..just long enough (about 80 pages) and soft and compact and easy to hold & travel with. When she left I went back online to Amazon and ordered books 2 - 4 for her! I like that they are numbered so it's easy to get more without getting duplicates. I will be ordering the complete set..a few at a time. They are very reasonably priced. She is keeping the books in a cute container to save for her younger cousin. Knowing her, she will probably re-read the whole collection many times before passing them down to her new cousin. Definately recommend it to anyone with a little girl in their life who loves to read to just needs a reason to learn to love to read!

My second grader reads a lot & really enjoys this series. I only bought the first book because I wasn't sure if she would like the book. She did and couldn't wait until the next couple books arrived. I'm only getting her 2 books at a time because it helps her stick to that book & not switch to a different book all together. This keeps her more focused. I do recommend this series, my daughter really enjoys reading them.

Good read for my daughter

Un livre de 80 pages en anglais, soit 10 chapitres avec +- 2 illustratoons en noir et blanc par chapitre. J'ai pris pour améliorer mon niveau de vocabulaire avec 1 histoire simple. Je lis d'abord pour voir si je comprends le sens puis cherche le vocabulaire qui me manque.

I bought this as gift for the daughter of a friend and she loved it. It is a great starting place for the younger age group.

My 7 & 4 year olds are going to love Nancy as much as I do. Great story, we didn’t guess the whole ending.

this book is so amazing i think may be people who are into mystery can be agede from 5 to 50 nd maybe more i have only read the frist book but if this one is so interesting then the others must be mind blowing . i think the reders must read these types of books. I loved the book and heads off to the writer.
