A good buy second time around
The first one didn't turn on. The second one has lasted a year no problem. Doesn't get too hot and is durable for my needs. Good size options and looks like any other long light. To me the value is there though it took a second try. I recommend.

Provides the necessary UVB light.
I leave this light on for at least 10 hours a day for the required UVB light my turtle needs for a healthy shell. It must be replaced once per year even if the light doesn't burn out.

Poor bulb connection design, stay away from this!
I bought this light for my baby Bearded Dragon in late June before we actually got him so everything would be in place and ready, it is now early August and starting about 2 weeks ago, (right at the closing of the return window), I noticed that the light wasn't on. I turned the bulb several times and heard a bit of sparking and it came back on. I thought it was maybe just a poor connection and it would work fine from then on. NOPE! Every couple of days it fails to come on and I have to twist the bulb to get it to come back on, I'm afraid that the next time it goes off, it will never come back on. This light is critical for my Beardie as they are unable to digest food without it. I will look at replacing it with a better unit as it is too important to take the chance it will fail when I'm away and lead to the demise of my beautiful little Beardie.

Very best light fixture
I have been fighting and fighting other brands of fixtures, trying to keep the bulbs in the right position, keep the bulbs from blinking, just keep the bulbs from turning themselves off!! Then the bulbs and fixtures only last one or two months and then never work again! I was skeptical when I bought this light but I am so glad I did! It is a joy to use, it is better quality, and the bulb stays in place! It is easy to remove the bulb and install again, no fighting and wrestling with this light. The light never blinks and the bulb never needs adjusting to burn brighter or come back on. I can’t believe I’ve wasted so much money on cheap fixtures for years! Do yourself a favor and purchase this fixture.

Light bulb unable to replace
Light is good works for about 2 years unable to find replacement bulbs so had to replace fixture/bulb combo

Perfect kit set up
Works effectively for my 75 gallon (4 ft long) tank for my bearded dragon. Came with a bulb and all the necessary hardware

Perfect
This was super easy to install amount on the top and it is putting off great UVB according to my UV sensor card. The size is perfect in covers half the cage. I had flickering at first, but realized the cord wasn’t all the way plugged in at the end.

For sure worth it
Being able to have 12 hours of UV-A/B and 12 hours off, (or your desired amount) without affecting the temperature of hot and cold areas, makes reptile care a lot easier. Works great for former aquariums converted to terrariums.
