Having inherited a Fluval 406 which didn't prime and was as noisy as heck, when I ordered the new primer I decided to get a new case seal ring and complete impeller replacement too. Filter not only works better now but is also less noisy.

Bought for housemate"s Fluvial 125 as old seal had been leaking and impeller getting worn. As long as you get at sensible price (this particular item fluctuates wildly), as I was lucky enough to, then the kit is cheaper than the individual components in garden centres etc.

Before I bought this kit I spent about three hours to no avail trying to get my 406 to pump water again. But all I got was that noisy gravelling rattle sound and no water flow, no matter how many times I pulled up the prime lever. After a bit of Googling this is a common problem with the Fluval series but easily remedied.This kit fixed my system. Contains replacement impeller and ceramic shaft (propeller shaped thingy), impeller cover (the red disk) and a replacement gasket for the whole head assembly.Genuine parts in a Fluval packet. Mine arrived perfectly.Make sure to remove the rubber thing at the bottom fo the impeller shaft.

Kit is all original parts (as described), matching perfect for the fluval 206 and working fine.Arrived quickly and well packaged.No instructions but to be honest when I started the job it is self explanatory how to unclip parts and replace.

All parts were as expected except several of the the impeller blades were broken on arrival.

Came as expected. Please read- if you have a fluval external filter and the impeller has broken then ring Hagen/Fluval. They will send you one out for free on next day delivery!

Musk turtles play sand ruined my prop
Tried extra spacers, took it completely apart, cleaned it with cotton buds, lubed up the prop/chamber and nothing brought the noise down until thisI replaced everything in the pack because it was cheaper than just the prop off other sellers but have kept everything except the old prop as spares

All original parts from fluval. Everything first well. Very well made. Installation was easy and quick. Now my filter works perfectly nice and Silence. Recommend this product.
