Throw or Twin will be fine. If you want to be fully covered, Twin zise will be better

Yes heats up in less than a minute and goes to a really warm temperature when in high. I usually turn it to full to warm up then turn down to half way once it's warmed up. Nice long lead with it too.

Hi. The length of the cord is as follows: from the mains plug to the control unit 70 inches approx. The cord then continues a further 98 inches approx to the connection with the blanket. If in doubt you could utilise a suitably rated trailing socket from your wall socket? Hope that is of some help.
