Gifted to Lawyer
The Lawyer I gave it to immediately put it right on his desk. The base is heavy (magnet) and the pen is light.Has a sleek look. It’s attractive. You can’t help yourself to want to play with it!Nice gift for the man who has everything.

Looks great, writes great!
I picked up this Magnetic Levitating Pen to have something that looks great on my desk and is easily accessed when needed for writing. The pen and base arrived in a nice box with a magnetic top, upon opening the base and pen are presented next to each other - excellent if purchased as a gift for someone. The pen feels very nice in the hand and the cap is magnetic to the pen as well as the base. The ink is black .5 mm ballpoint cartridge.Overall, the packaging, and presentation in and outside of the box are very nice. So, whether you're thinking of something for yourself as a great display and usable pen or a gift for someone else, this Magnetic Levitating Pen is a great buy!

Disappointed
When I first received the product, I just received the base, but the pen was missing, my daughter couldn’t give the gift to her father on Father’s Day, all of us were so disappointed. I then returned the product and requested replacement, when I received it today, I found that there are several cracks on the base which are NOT wood natural markings (the base I received on the first time was new and perfect) we are so disappointed again.

I don't like to give 5 stars
Whether or not the Magnetic Levitating Pen is made from wood, I'm not 100% sure. It looks like wood. It feels like wood, but it's magnetic, and wood is not magnetic. Is it possible they hollowed out a space in a wooden disk and inserted a powerful magnet? Yes, it's possible. Did they? I'm not sure. What I am sure of is this is one cool pen set. It comes in a sturdy, black cardboard box with all kinds of custom cut foam to protect the pen. The magnet is very strong and the pen stands up to a lot of jostling without coming free. I put the pen across the base and was able to pick up the base by lifting one end, and the pen did not separate. I tried picking it straight up and it did release, but that's to be expected. This is a heavy base. The pen itself has a cap that you just pull away from the body in order to write. I guess it's a gel pen because it writes like a charm. So smooth. This pen is suitable as a gift, if you would like to get one for somebody. I'm keeping mine!

Cool Desk Accessory
This thing is pretty freaking cool. It stays up very well and springs back to position when you tap it (which I do all the time for fun). The base is nice and heavy and looks like a solid piece of wood. There's a magnet in the cap of the pen, which also allows it to click securely into the pen when not hovering on the base. The only reason I didn't five it five stars is because the tip of the cap has a slight slant. This sometimes results in the pen standing on a slight angle (first pic). But it only happens every now and then and a slight twist usually fixes it.

Brilliantly designed, attractive, well-built “floating” desk pen and stand - all wood!
I have always loved gadgets, gizmos, fidget toys, and highly utilitarian devices (including items you might classify as EDC). This magnetic, levitating, and “floating” pen is a charmer: no matter the angle in which you push or pull the pen (as long as it makes contact with the base), it will bounce back to a straight upright position. If you remove the pen and drag it close to the base, the base will pull it with ease to stand up and salute! The materials are beautiful, with wood for the very solid (and heavy) base, and wood with metal trims for the pen. The pen can be refilled (the pen comes with a 0.5mm roller ball cartridge), and when the pen is not in use the point is covered. That pen cover is magnetic, so like the base, it attracts the pen! What are the many uses for such a clever pen? Well, for me - a well-seasoned fidget novice, the pen and the base provide hours of entertainment during a “home office” day. I don’t mind flicking a finger or two at the pen and watch it calmly wobble to center. That’s a trait I need to develop in myself, and now I have this pen and the base adorning my home office desk.

A cool novelty that is actually really functional
How often is a novelty actually functional? This one truly is.They should post a video because you really have to see it to get it.It does not like to fall down, remember the Weebles that wobble but they don't fall down? It's like that.A singular vertical pen is more convenient than I expected. I just float my hand over there, not even looking, and it ends up in my hand. You can't knock it over or swipe it away, at least by casual accident. If you took a baseball bat to it then I imagine you could. It's also a top notch ball point, I'm pretty picky with my pens and this one is nice and smooth and the line is solid. This is going to take a permanent spot on my desk.

Great fidget pen for those with ADHD
What other reviews are saying is true, the finish is a little rough. They should have sanded it with a high grit to make is smoother. But that's not the reason we got the pen.The pen is a great fidget toy for my son that also doubles as a pen.He keeps it on his desk and whenever he feels overly anxious, he can just play with the pen that is right there. It seems to help him keep focused for longer.
