Deep Chutney TamarindDate Chutney (Sauce) 8 oz.

After discovering that Sukhi's Tamarind Chutney was no longer available I tried several others from my local natural foods stores, but never found any I liked. I couldn't believe that one I tried was actually bitter rather than sweet. Several months ago I was out on a Saturday in Duarte, CA driving on city streets because the freeway was a mess and passed an Indian Grocery Store, so I went in and asked if they had any tamarind chutney and explained that I wanted it sweet, not bitter. The clerk at the store immediately took me back to the refrigerated section and pulled out the Deep Date-Tamarind Chutney. I asked again to confirm that it was sweet and he said yes. The next time we had Indian food, I tried it on my naan, and it was excellent! But that's not the only thing it's good on! Believe it or not, it makes a great dip for french fries and sweet potato fries! I was running out of the 16oz. jar I had, so I checked Amazon to see if they had it, and they did! Unfortunately, it wasn't eligible for Prime, so I had to pay shipping. I ordered two jars. I didn't realize at the time I ordered that I was getting 8oz jars rather than 16oz, so I'm glad I ordered two. I'm sure I'll be buying more in a few months!
