Sharp out of the box!
Every now and then I score with a cheap item from China, sometimes it's worth the roll of the dice. I was looking for an American Tanto point that would have strength and control ability in defensive/offensive situations if necessary. This blade is well made, very solid with a great grip with a slight palm swell. The kydex sheath good, holds blade in securely. There a little rattle, but that's not a problem due to carry position inside my waistband. Ya can't go wrong for under $20!

Aren’t you a Little Small for a Stormtrooper?
I already own quite a few bushcraft knives because I live in the rural Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, where I regularly hike and backpack in the mountains surrounding my home. I consider a good survival knife for bushcraft to be an essential tool. I have several higher-end survival knives, but I wanted something to keep in a loaner pack, so I didn’t need anything that robust, and this is plenty durable for my intended purposes.I will say that this is a bit small for a bushcraft / survival knife, with a blade that is only 4-inches long and 1-inch wide, but it is nice and compact for what it is. The 440HC Steel on this knife is more than hard enough to be put through its paces and it has a decent edge retention. The only negative I have regarding 440HC is that it is a bit more difficult to re-sharpen to a fine edge than softer steels. The knife is well balanced and comfortable to hold and carry with a decent amount of heft. It weighs 8.4-ounces, and if you add the sheath, it weighs 11.2-ounces. The textured synthetic scales give my hand great purchase; they’re not advertised as G10, but they feel like it. The handle fits my average sized hand perfectly, however, if you have larger hands, you may find the handle on this knife to be a bit on the small side as it is only 1-inch wide and 1-inch thick. I tested this blade by doing a lot of feathering on both soft live wood as well as on hard dead wood, and the knife held its edge very well, creating ideal slivers. There is no gimping on the spine of this blade, but I suppose that is to be expected on a budget knife. The choil under the blade is nice and large and holds a finger well for precise work, and it allows a good place to start edge sharpening. I tried some batoning to see if I could deform the edge despite its smallish size, but it held up just fine and I was able to split some 2-inch diameter pieces of 12-inch-long seasoned red oak logs. I feel that because of the blade size 2 to 3-inch logs are the limit as to what you could reasonably split. Lastly, I did a test on the blade tip, prying and chipping away against seasoned dead hardwood, to see if I could cause the tip to bend or break. I was actually expecting some damage because of the way the tip is beveled, and I was surprised to see that this knife came out of my test without any visible damage. If I have any nitpicks about this knife, it is in reference to the Kydex sheath. Although I prefer Kydex sheaths, on this sheath the nylon belt clip is a bit on the awkward side to operate. What is helpful about it is that it will accommodate belts up to 2-inches in width. If you use a belt that is significantly smaller, you can just adjust the two snap-in bars to accommodate a smaller width belt so that the sheath does not bounce around (both bars need to be completely removed to accommodate a 2-inch-wide belt). But opening the clip is somewhat strange; to attach the sheath to the belt, you can either slide the belt through the clip, or you can flip the toggle bar and pinch the sides to open the belt clip. To then close the clip, it clicks into place, and you flip the toggle bar back into place. The toggle bar on my clip seems to keep wanting to pop out of place and it does not appear to be made of a robust nylon. Fortunately, it is held to the Kydex with two screws, so it is replaceable with any other belt clip of your choosing.Despite my very minor gripe, at under twenty-six dollars I am very impressed with this knife. It is a great value for a durable survival knife that seems like it can take all the abuse you throw at it.

Can't beat it at this price. Excellent knife!
Synopsis:100% recommended. For this price ($25) it can't be beat. A deal at 2x the price. Great reviews from credible sources (see below).Initial impressions:Knife came in a plain black box with ridiculous packing, but was undamaged. The knife itself was immediately impressive and even raised the eyebrows of this self admitted blade snob. It came in a well fit kydex sheath and had a decent quality knock off bladetech belt clip that looked solid. The holes were spaced to industry standard so you could swap out their clip for about anything else you prefer. The blade was amazing! Shaving sharp right from the box. Zero defects, no burs, no problems of any kind. I have to admit my heart may have skipped a beat. To say this was 'better than expected' is a massive understatement. The grip scales were actually pretty good and could easily be swapped to something else or removed for a paracord wrap thanks to the standard hex bolts. The two tone finish was awesome and the weathered or mottled part was perfect. Just wow, immediately very impressed.Use:This blade is sharp! Easily shaving sharp and thanks to 440 steel, very easy to resharpen in the field. Every type of steel has its strong and weak points and everyone has their favorite as well as blade shape. This is a 440 tanto blade. If you love d2 drop points, don't dump on this one because it's not your favorite. This blade is solid and quality. The thickness of mine was 5mm and the grip thickness was just shy of 1". The overall length was 24cm or 9 13/16". The sheath was 171mm or 6 3/4" long and 67mm or 2 5/8" wide at the max point.I showed this knife around to various professionals who operate in a tactical capacity, or previously have including Special Forces, military, federal law enforcement and first responders for their opinions. I did not tell them anything, just handed to them and asked what they thought. I did ask how much they thought it cost. Literally all thought the knife was between $100 and $200. All liked it a lot and were very surprised when I told them the price. The only criticism was that it was a bit on the heavy side, but not a barrier to purchase.

Feels great in the hand
This thing is surprisingly nice, I had my expectations pretty low because of the price point and the steel isn't overly impressive. So, it was nice to have a knife that has a good weight distribution, it full tanf and holds up pretty decently. Will update after some extended, heavy use.

Well worth $25+
I’m not normally a fan of knives made in China but this one stands out. In fact it stands alone as far as high quality steel and kydex go.This knife is actually a gorgeous piece of steel. The angles are absolutely perfect. The grinds are absolutely perfect. The handle feels fantastic and it fits into its sheath so very well. This knife is beyond sturdy and the handle is perfect for those with larger hands like mine. After measuring all the angles I was more than impressed with this knife. I usually don’t like fully-machined knives and prefer hand forged knives but this knife stands out. In fact it stands alone as the nicest knife under $25 that’s made in China. In fact I think this either the first knife made in China that I would highly recommend…..
