The Weekend Warrior paddle is a Gen 1 “raw” carbon fiber paddle without the edges enclosed. It definitely leans towards control with great touch while maintaining enough power to put away balls without trouble. The grip area is enclosed with foam so that you can’t feel the core which is a nice detail on a paddle in this price range.The shape of the paddle is the same as the Hyperion and the weight of mine is 7.7oz which is the same range as the Hyperion Swift version. I’ve played with the Hyperion Swift and don’t feel much difference between it and this paddle during play. The face texture is also nearly identical to the Hyperion and my V7, it is much rougher than the SLK Halo. It’s a molded texture so it won’t come off over time.I wanted to try this paddle because it should have a lower swing weight than my V7 which it does. The difference is noticeable and makes the Weekend Warrior feel faster at the net in hand battles. The sweet spot is decently large with balls hit around the edge of the paddle not feeling dead like some paddles do.I like that the paddle is lightweight so I can add lead tape to where I want it. I added an ounce of tape to the neck of the paddle for more stability without impacting hand speed much.The red edge guard really stands out and looks great IMO.I’d recommend this paddle for anyone looking for a well balanced paddle with grit comparable to pro level paddles who isn’t planning on playing USAPA sanctioned tournaments.

Not only am I thrilled with the performance, but I'm also happy to have saved some money by not opting for the more expensive $180 option as they seem identical. Even my friends, who own the CRBN, were surprised by how similar it feels and performs. Great value!

Ordered this paddle due to the cool style from the photos and in person it did not disappoint!! It has a solid weight and good feel, very happy with the performance so far.

The media could not be loaded.  This a solid Raw Carbon Fiber Paddle at a good price. I have played with it for about 2 months and I am happy with it. It is very good power among the Gen 1 Raw Carbon Fiber paddles, though not as powerful has Gen 2 thermoformed paddles. The Spin and Control is also very good. It is not the best pedal the money can buy, but for it price it is a good value.I will recommnd it for beginner or intermediate players looking for a good paddle they can grow their game with. This pedal will help your game with Spin and Control and will give you decent power. However, if you are looking for a pdal to maximize power or need help to generate power, go for Gen 2 thermoformed pedals.

I heard about this paddle on one of my pickleball forums. The specs compare to paddles that cost over twice as much. I am a competitive tournament player with many gold and silver medals. I share it with others at tournaments and some other top layers have purchased it as a result. I love this paddle for touch and feel. I added a 2' strip of 1/2" wide lead tape along the lower edges for added power and pop.

It is a great paddle! It got a long handle that is well textured. The paddle has a rough surface so it can add a lot of spin. The paddle generates a lot of power off little motion and is good at driving the ball. Super lightweight and easy to get the hang of. Overall 10/10

Speaking of that, there are so many companies coming out now that presentation matters & so does the look of the paddle. Weekend Warrior knocks it out of the park. This is a sexy paddle! The red & black colorway is sharp. Plus a nice box includes a quality SLEEVE. Something else more expensive paddles lack.CONS - The only real issue I have with the paddle is that I think it should deliver more pop for a 16 mm Carbon Fiber paddle. However, it does have enough power for me to drive through winners up the middle. Maybe I'll add some weight tape and edit this review later. But out of the box, I wish it had just a little more pop.Overall, this is basically a Bread & Butter Filth but at HALF THE PRICE and a THIRD of the price compared to some inferior "pro models" made by the big companies. If you're a new player, experienced or advanced... I can not recommend this paddle enough. Just go buy one now!

This paddle is a wonderful option for anyone who doesn’t want to drop $150-$200 on a paddle. The control you get is outstanding. I was able to place the ball wherever I needed. The power was slightly less than I get with my current paddle but it did not disappoint when I needed to “smash” a ball or two. My biggest complaint with the paddle would be the grip size. The grip itself has a great cushioning and feels wonderful to play with but it was to thick for my liking. If the grip would have been thinner, I would have given 5 stars. Overall, for the money, this may be the best bang for your buck. I will keep this one in the bag when I need the extra control.
