Black Walnut Wooden Jewelry Box for Women, 5 Layer

Real person here - went out on a limb and ordered this despite very few reviews and feeling a little unsure of the quality. A few things: 1) This same box/style can be found for sale from other sellers elsewhere - I bought it here because it was the best price I could find. 2) I was looking for a large jewelry box that had BOTH necklace hangers and longer earring hangers in the fold-out doors. This was one of very few in existence anywhere, and the other two I was able to find were much more expensive. It was weird to me that there are not more boxes with this arrangement, which seems perfect. 3) This box is really nice. It was carefully packaged to avoid damage and indeed it is real wood. It does not seem flimsy and the velvet is nice as jewelry box velvet goes. It looks classy and the knobs have a nice feel. 4) Lots of space. I was worried it wouldn’t be big enough, but I have a little extra space after putting ALL my jewelry inside (minus a few VERY chunky pieces). 5) The lock works and has two keys. 6) Nice variety of jewelry type accommodation - so many boxes have too much space for any given jewelry type. The earring hanger is slightly hard to use but it does get the job done. Necklace holders work great - you can fold over the chains a little bit and see the full length of them. I have almost no rings but some of my earrings fit in ring spaces and look nice. Very chunky rings wouldn’t fit well in the ring holder (but could be placed in a drawer). Nice variety of divisions within drawers. I hope this helps others - I agonized over which jewelry box to purchase. At the price of a Pottery Barn or similar box made of cheap material, this solid wood box is an investment but was definitely worth it and of nice quality.

I have been looking for the perfect jewelry box for a while now. I finally pulled the plug to splurge on a really nice one when my company gave me an Amazon gift card for my anniversary with them. I read every single review on this particular box, and picked it based on the positive feedback, for its simplicity and understated elegance, and for its size and quality. I was really hoping I wouldn't be disappointed when it arrived... And I definitely was not! Look and feel: This box has a beefy and sturdy feel. The wood is solid, heavy, and beautiful with a smooth finish. The wood grains give it character and lovely eye appeal. Functionality: The doors and drawers all move easily and with a high quality feel. They are lined with a soft cream colored velvet (the light color makes it easy to see the colors of the gemstones). It holds all of my precious jewelry with room to add more. I like that one door holds necklaces, while the other holds larger earings. I do wish the earing door would hold small hoops and studs though. But the small compartments work just as well for those. I also wish it was just a bit wider, but my bracelets still fit just fine laying across the largest compartment (end to end), so I'm good with that. Overall: It is well made and should be able to withstand years and years of use with no issues. This will definitely be a piece that will be passed down when that time comes. I'm exceptionally happy with my choice and would highly recommend.

This jewelry box would be perfect if both doors were for just hooks for hanging necklaces. I knew it was like that before I bought it though, so I can't take off a star for that, I just wish they would offer that as an option. Everything else is great! Solid wood, not veneer or mdf! Well made, lockable, nice storage features. It looks nice, timeless design, no cheesy carved images or engraving. Definitely recommend! Even with the wasted side door space, I was still able to fit most of my jewelry in it, I just had to hang multiple chains on each hook. I don't wear dangle earrings, my ears are guaged, so that left side was almost completely useless. I did find a way to hang some small, lightweight pendants in some of the slots though. I may eventually try to alter it and take out the earrings slots and put hooks in at some point. Hopefully I can pull it off without destroying it! **EDIT**6/2026- I just saw that y'all added another box with MORE necklace hangers, and immediately jumped on it! Then I noticed it's NOT a FULL LOCK! 🤦‍♀️ Dang it, so close!!! *Guys, PLEASE make that EXACT version, but with a FULL LOCK, PLEASE!! 🙏 I have daughter's that sneak and get into my expensive jewelry, the entire thing needs to lock, not just the top! :) I you build it, I will buy it!! I mainly have gold chains/necklaces and need more space to hang them, safety and securely. Ty ty!

I'm very fussy about organization, clutter, aesthetics, and how I have my jewelry stored and arranged. This chest is impressive and I'm very pleased with it. I'm only including photos of the exterior to show you how it looks in the room because others have posted plenty of photos (and video) of the interior (and those photos / videos are accurate). It's a sleek design and smartly thought-out: plenty of storage for various categories of jewelry with velvet-lining (anti-tarnish material? not sure). It's quite well-made. It feels and looks sturdy. It locks well. When you unlock it, you do need to open the side doors to disengage the catch for the drawers. Pretty cool feature, actually. The side doors themselves catch well on magnets. I can highly recommend this product. The price point is quite reasonable for the quality and level of thoughtful design that you get. Finally, although selecting a jewelry case is very personal and subjective, I do also think it would make a lovely gift.

I agree with what the other person said about this being a beautiful and well made jewelry box that is constructed from solid wood so it has a sturdy design. I also agree with her that it would be nice if there were more necklace hooks (there are only 7), and I am also like her in that I don’t wear dangle earrings. I primarily only wear stud or hoop earrings. So I agree with her in how that makes the whole left panel useless and you have to try to repurpose that side which is easier said than done. And I have way more necklaces but it doesn’t come with enough hooks so I have to double up on the hooks or repurpose other slots intended for other things, but just like her, I knew ahead of time that was how it was designed so I can’t really complain too much. And overall it still helped me organize my jewelry which was looking very cluttered and disorganized. I also appreciate how it locks. So I feel my jewelry is more protected now.

Generally, I don't take the time to write public reviews - good or bad. But this product is OUTSTANDING! It is elegant, classy & more beautiful than the photos. I loved the similarity to puzzle boxes. In the unlocked position, one must open the lid first to allow the side doors to open (the doors click shut & held in place by magnets). Once the doors are open, you have ready access to the drawers. Between the doors & drawers, you can fit lots of jewelry inside. To close it up, reverse the process: push in all the drawers, click the doors closed, shut the top. With the top closed, neither the doors or drawers will open. If you lock it, nothing will open. I love the ingenuity in how this jewelry box works. I have been looking (on & off) for the "right" jewelry box for me for decades. I don't have expensive jewelry but I do appreciate the simple elegance, fine workmanship and beautiful hardwood in this jewelry case that allows me to organize my eclectic pieces of jewelry in an organized manner so I will see & wear more than the few pieces scattered about on my dresser top. This box is a definite WINNER!

I love this jewelry box. I was looking for something a little nicer and more solid, and this definitely feels more high-end than the typical ones. There’s a ton of storage and everything has its place, so it’s been great for keeping my jewelry organized instead of all over the place. I like the different compartments and the doors on the sides for necklaces—helps keep them from getting tangled. It looks really nice sitting out too. Overall, very happy with it and glad I went with this one.

Got this as a gift! Great quality love that I can organize all my jewelry in one jewelry box. Beautifully made with top quality materials. Love that it can lock too!

NOT SOLID WALNUT! They're most basic and important claim that this is solid north american walnut is simply not true. It is Veneered. What is meant to be a lifelong keepsake is now much more likely to chip and peel away. Is the box nice? Yes Is it sturdy/heavy? Yes Is it solid wood? NO! It's shocking to me

This jewellery box is beautifully made and I am very happy with it . The inside is quality too and you get what you pay for . It was expensive but it is something I have always wanted. The wood is gorgeous ,although there were a few marks, blemishes but will discuss with seller . I am still chuffed to bits with it .I can finally have all my jewellery in one place .

The item has stains on one of the drawers, which do not go away.
