This make is the best one that I know of. Ice cream scoops need to be very sturdy, a cheap one will just break or jam.

Impressed....
Been looking for an ice cream scoop to measure cake mixture mainly. Not many traditional style ones around but found one last week for £5 and bought it in high hopes of it being up to the job. It fell apart within minutes-there is no way it would have scooped ice cream.Then I found these Lacor ones and all reviews were positive and they come in so many different sizes to cater for anything you would want them to. I figure these smaller ones would be ideal for mince pies and ordered some larger ones for cup cakes etc.Arrived today and I'm delighted with them. Pricier than most but worth it for the quality, very strong and sturdily built and very stylish. Confident they will last for life and will get some more in various sizes for sure. Buy with confidence!

Why am I being asked
about sturdiness ? I just bought it. It's a good size for meatballs, and I hope it will be good for cookies too.

Good but tiny
This would be a good scoop for making small buns or decorative smaller scoops to go on top of a larger scoop. Well made but for general size scoops I'd recommend the 53 mm one instead. Only Scrooge would offer this size of scoop to a guest.

Really convenient scooper - I use for cake batter and does this perfectly, making everything a little easier than a normal spoon!

Not just for ice cream, I use it when making meatballs at home, big enough to bite into, not so large that they overwhelm you. The scoop is well made, feels good in the hand and operates just the way it should. Each to their own.
