I really like this radio. Simple and reliable. Tuning is with a large knob and not digital so you can fine tune. Digital is either on the station or off and no fine tuning. Speaker is loud and clear so you can work in the yard and hear over a good distance. Volume knob goes pretty loud without distortion. Just AM and FM, that's all I use or actually need. Uses cord or 4 batteries for power, like I am used to. My old 20 year old radio was similar and worked for years until the volume knob wore out. I hope to get 20 years out of this one too. I like my new radio.

This radio really does a nice job of pulling out even weak low power daytime and distant am stations at night and makes them clear as if it's a local station. These radios have a digital tuning receiver chip and it seems to have an AGC circuit that kicks in to pull those weak stations better. Works very well and better than a conventional AM/FM radio even better than my car radio. A little tricky on the am tuning but especially at night it picks up a allot of weak stations. FM works very well. It is a great radio for emergency use or backup.

The purpose for shopping for a radio came about because I was tired of having to struggle with LED displays you have to "beep beep" through or knobs that were too small or tight to adjust the radio. This one appeared be what I was looking for, and it is. The sound is clear, it picks up stations great, and the knobs are easy to adjust, with a clear, easy to read channel panel. It plays AM and FM. It has a nice handle which makes it easy to carry if you need to. I am very happy with the purchase. It also arrived in good time and in good condition.

Pro's; The stations numbers were good size, well graduated, and easy to read. Pretty good for tired eye's. The volume and tuning dial turned smoothly but a little wobbly. Typical of most inexpensive radio's. The FM antenna seemed adequately tall, felt solid enough, and turned 360 degrees. Con's - FM station signal can lock on and off at least 4 times in the space of a quarter inch on the dial, with a different sound quality for each lock. (NO Selectivity!) - Other stations bleed through making it difficult to tune to a nearby weaker station. - Sound Quality; You can hear music and speech, but it is not pleasant. It is all "highs" no bass at all, and midrange is very weak. - AM did pick up two local stations that I listen too. They both had a very wide "tuning in" area and lots of crackle and pops. Conclusion: Not surprisingly; there are many things that would improve this radio's functionality. Some simple; like the addition of a led backlight for nighttime; but the biggest improvement would be in the ability to reliably tune in and lock onto a signal followed by improved sound quality in AM as well as FM.

Great little radio for the price. I just wanted a plain radio with NO fancy features. Great for older people who get confused with technology. Also perfect for when the power goes out. Very happy with this purchase.

Obviously Retekess reads their reviews & takes customer service seriously. This kind of integrity is rare. This kind of integrity is a breath of fresh air. This kind of integrity can brighten anyone's day. Thank you Retekess. I will buy from Retekess again & I recommend Retekess without hesitation. Liked every thing about it, the sound, the simplicity, the design... but can only hear it with the earphones, cannot hear it without the earphones, kind of limits a person.. My husband did not tell me this, until it was too late to request a refund. I would buy another one, but what if it did the same thing?

I have a battery-powered Sony radio that I have owned for years. I think the style is discontinued. It is beginning to falter in its sound so I knew I had to buy a radio to replace it. . I bought and tried different ones sold through Amazon and other sellers. I eventually had to send them back. The problem was that the ones that I tried had odd volume control. The sound would go too immediately from soft to loud(er) too loud. (The volume on the Sony has different levels of softness before going to loud or louder). That is what I wanted in a new radio. The Retekess TR633 AM FM Radio is decently good regarding this. The sound does not go to very loud from soft. Better than other radios I have tried. The sound is also decently good and not "Tinny" or "Static-y." I think it may be a tad expensive as it is just an older-type of radio, no Bluetooth function and it only has AM and FM. I use the radio in the home so I don't think I can use the antenna function but for people who can use this feature it is good that it is there. I guess I would recommend it for generally listening to common AM and FM stations. One big plus to it is that it only uses four AAA batteries. It makes the radio less heavy than one that uses large D-sized batteries. I probably will keep the Retekess TR633 radio in storage until my Sony completely conks out. So it is possible that when I do start regularly using the Retekess TR633 it may last only for a certain amount of time before it starts faltering in some way, the volume, the sound, etc. It may last much less than what my Sony lasted. No way to know that. I am hoping not. But otherwise this is a pretty good radio . I will update as I am able to.

Tamaño igual a la imagen, me llego en tiempo y sin daños, Yo se lo compre a mi abuela ya que como no sabe leer o números se le complica con las nuevas bocinas que incluyen radio., se la dejamos al volumen que ella quiere y su estación favorita, solo la desconecta y se apaga, lo mismo para prender solo la conecta, espero no se dañe pronto Jajajajaja, Pero se nos hace mas fácil de usar para ella ya que los botones de push se le complican

O rádio é excelente, capta bem as estações com som alto. Chegou antes da previsão. O único problema foi a tomada que não é compatível com o padrão brasileiro, mas com um adaptador ficou perfeito.
