Its a shimano fishing pole. Do i need to say any more?

Wanted to try baitrunner feature

Well, first day of the season and this rod snapped on a hook set. Wasn’t an aggressive hook set or anything out of the ordinary; was using a crank bait for pike. Not even a bought less than 6 months ago. End of last season, I fished top water frogs with it and caught a good amount of fish with it. I store my rods inside the living room, on a wall rack. It snapped on the lower portion of the rod, as well. Not sure if this is a manufacturer defect or what, but this is the last Shimano rod I’ll buy. It’s also the second SLX that I’ve had snap. My first medium x-fast rod tip broke (which was bought on tacklewarehouse). I feel like I baby my rods too and the only rods I’ve had break are Shimano SLX’s. I still have 2 more in the family but fear the worst.

Baitrunner function is very useful for live bait fishing and works flawless. I have used it in saltwater for almost one year and not a single sign of corrosion.

Mittlerweile meine Lieblingsrolle fürs leichte Spinnangeln auf Barsch, Forelle und Zander. Bei mir ist die Rolle im Einsatz an der MK Barschpeitsche und mit 0,18er Mono bespult. Eine der am besten zusammen passenden Kombos die ich in 25 Jahren Spinnangelei in der Hand hatte.
