Valet Key 1 Lexus Chip Short (Factory Original - New)

Great programed myself had key cut at Lexus dealer for $25. To program insert original key , press gas petal 5 times, then press brake petal 6 times, take out original key, insert newly cut key , press gas petal once, watch security light when it stops flashing key is set, and will start car (engine does not need to be on to program key). Took maybe 5 minutes dealer wanted about $100 to programI bought valet key because I lost key needed spare and didn't want to pay $300 to dealer to order new key

Fit my 2001 Lexus LX470 perfectly. Luckily my Ace hardware was able to cut the key with their special key milling machine for $15. Several locksmiths said they would not cut for me since I did not purchase from them or they wanted $40. (These type of sidewinder keys are commonly called "laser cut", but it's not actually cut with a laser.). Programming instructions were readily found online, and I was able to program myself in about 10 minutes after a couple of tries.

Did not work. Locksmith cut and spent over an hour trying to get it programed. A dud.

I am glad to say that the key work for my truck I had know problems on getting the key cut and program to my 1999 Lexus RX300.

Works as it should and programing it was easy! Very pleased with the purchase and will look into getting the master key from them as well!
