Every time I have to pick up a towel off the floor in the cloakroom (courtesy of my son who seems to have an aversion to hanging it back up after drying his hands 🙄), I've wanted a handdryer and so I was glad to get this.The dryer itself is compact compared to some (24.8 cm high x15.8 cm deep x 25cm wide, so it doesn't take up much more, if any more room, than a standard towel rail, so you won't need tons of extra space to put this up.It attaches to the wall by the included screws, rawl plugs and fixing brackets.Wiring: surprisingly, this has a 3 pin plug (I expected it to be hard-wire only), but having a plug is useful if you plan to have this in the kitchen etc, however, I suspect that in most bathrooms/cloakrooms it would need to be hardwired in.This was certainly the case where we've put it in the cloakroom, but it wasn't a big job as our fuse box is actually in the cloakroom itself.There's a switch underneath to swap between hot and cold air and the air starts automatically when you place your hands underneath. (There's an infrared sensor).There's a power light on the front and also another light which illuminates when the dryer is operating.The drying function is strong and dries your hands quickly in a few seconds. It's not horrifically noisy either, and the dryer shuts off automatically once you remove your hands.It works efficiently and although it's too soon to see if it makes an impact on the electric bill, I can't imagine it would be substantial. And of course, you have to weigh up how many towels you wash and dry that would no longer be needed, thanks to this, which would probably offset the electrical usage.I'm impressed with this so far. It's a lot more hygienic than a damp towel, especially in a cloakroom where everyone tends to dry their hands on a shared towel.The dryer is splash proof too, so you don't have to worry about people flicking water about when washing/drying their hands. It would equally suit a bathroom as well as a cloakroom and it's available in black or silver, (I had the black one).£83.99 (at time of order) might seem an expensive way to dry your hands, but a lot of dryers are more expensive than this one yet this does the job just as well as any others I've seen. Recommended.

Das Ding funktioniert wunderbar. Allerdings riecht das Ding die ersten zwei Wochen nach Chemie, aber das vergeht mit der Zeit.Die Montage ist ein bisschen anstrengend. Aber man wusste worauf man sich einlässt.Fazit: Wunderbares Teil, habe es für die Gästetoilette. Preis ist ein wenig Hoch. Aber absolut in Ordnung wenn man nicht mehr Handtücher bereitstellen muss.

Wer in den letzten 20 Jahren auch nur irgendwann mal eine öffentliche Toilette betreten hat, dürfte mit dem Prinzip der Dyson Airblade-Handtrockner vertraut sein.Im Endeffekt ist das hier nichts anderes, nur um einige Stufen primitiver aufgebaut. Komplett nüchtern betrachtet ist es einfach ein Haarföhn in anderer Bauform.Der Handtrockner ist vergleichsweise schwer und wuchtig, ich habe tatsächlich kein Gadget in dieser Größenordnung erwartet. Dafür ist die Trockenleistung aber auch im Kaltbetrieb mehr als ausreichend, das gibt Pluspunkte!Weniger ausreichend empfinde ich dagegen die Heizstufe - der Händetrockner fängt bei aktiver Heizwendel penetrant an nach Plastik zu stinken. Zum einen fühle ich mich damit nicht besonders sicher, zum anderen verschwindet der Geruch nur schwer wieder aus den Räumen.Ein richtiger Kritikpunkt ist allerdings die ca. 30-40cm Kabellänge. Häufig haben Badezimmer nur 1 - maximal noch 2 Steckdosenanschlüsse, die in aller Regel in direktem Perimeter zum Waschbecken liegen. Eine Verlängerung dieser Anschlüsse ist im Badezimmer schlicht nicht vorgesehen. Es bestünde die Möglichkeit Unterputzdosen verlegen zu lassen, dann muss allerdings das komplette Badezimmer-Elektrokonzept auf den Kopf gestellt werden, insbesondere im Hinblick auf den üblicherweise überaus reaktionsfreudigen Badezimmer-Schutzschalter (FI).Und ja, ich verstehe warum sich der Hersteller für so eine Kabellänge entschieden hat - ich will dem potenziellen Käufer (Dir!) nur aufzeigen, dass der Kauf dieses Händetrockners wahrscheinlich mit jeder Menge Arbeit und Kopfschmerzen und eventuell auch Sicherheitsrisiken zusammenkommen wird.---Ich habe dieses Produkt im Zuge des Amazon Vine-Programms kostenfrei zu Review-Zwecken zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen.
