Clear andceasy to use

Compact, works well but not intuitive!

This unit worked well but after only used on 2 surveys it gave up measuring from the rear point only the front of the unit, I did not notice straightaway and had to waste time returning and re measuring. It has never recovered. I tried taking the batteries out and leaving one night to see if it re booted , but no luck so is of limited use. SHAME because it was a versatile and inexpensive unit, but the value has little if it does not work properly.

This is a very handy thing to have. I was under the impression that when you pulled the tape measure out, the measurement would show on the top screen. But it doesn't do that. However, that aside, you have the option of a manual or a digital measure. It will measure in inches, feet, and mm but not cm. (350mm =35cm) Anyway, a long press on the measure button will give cross-hair. The minute you activate that it gives a 5min countdown before switching itself off. This is to save battery time. It requires two AAA Batteries that are not supplied. There is a screwdriver for the battery compartment. It does many different forms of measuring and is worth adding to your tool kit.
