What is Microfiber ? Microfibre is an extremely small, synthetic fibre approximately 1/100th the diameter of a human hair. It is primarily constructed from a blend of two materials, polyester and polyamide. Microfibre towel density is expressed in grams per square meter or 'GSM'. As density increases in a towel so does its thickness, weight and number of fibre. The more microfibres in a towel, the better it absorbs and cleans.
