I purchased a new copper bowl for my bread storage on my countertop. But I really wanted to antique it somehow to look vintage. I googled but nothing worked so I purchased this!! Worked perfectly! Highly recommend!!

By using different combos of dipping in vinegar or ammonia mixed with Miracle Grow or baking soda/water scrub combo and polishing with buffing cloth or brass brush I've been able to create a dozen or more different color patinas with this product on copper......coal black, satin black, black chrome, gun metal black, pewter, silver, wheat, bronze, white gold, rose gold, brass, blue sheen silver, blue and a wide range of others by playing with the temperature of the metal you're working with. This stuff is REALLY flexible!

Doesn’t stay good forever, smells bad, mix only what you need in hot water and works great! Good for toning coins or jewelry

You don't need much of this product to create a different look. I'm using it for metal smithing. It sure stinks but creates beautiful product.

Buy the smaller size if you are going to safe a significant difference and you don't use it regularly. Either way ( large or small ) Keep it in a dark place and the product will last almost a year. Unlike other products I have used.

This product worked the magic I needed for a copper door wrap. I'd buy it again if I need it.

I received my product faster than the expected thank you for such a prompt service. As far as this chemical it works best at a room temperature to warm environment. Great product for long lasting effects on copper.

I've used several oxidizing agents as a silversmith. As far as shelf life, deep black finish and consistent coverage and results, the XL Gel has absolutely been the best. An added benefit to the XL gel is that it does not contain hydrochloric acid, so I don't have to worry about fumes or hazardous waste disposal issues.

I use this stuff to add patina effects to my handmade jewellery. It lasts quite a while as it is in gel form and doesn't seem to go off. This is my second purchase from this company. Recommended.

Does exactly what it promises although finish is very dull/matt. Took awhile to arrive as it is shipped from USA which is not explained.
