This tool is remarkable in every sense.
This dematting comb is exception to use on my Alaskan Malamute male.My boy loves being groomed, so this one will feel a little different for him.It is essential when using this comb you follow the instructions* PLEASE BE AWARE THIS COMB IS SUPER SHARP*The comb itself has a few prongs and extremely comfortable to use on my dog. Please do not go in heavy handed, this has to be a good introduction with grooming. So many sellers all over sell products that are not suitable to my lads hair. This comb if you are reading this has excellent reviews for the type of comb it is. My Mal is 6 years old and my first Malamute. They are a lot bigger than Husky’s and built to pull cars and trucks. As a working dog, he needs to be groomed 2-3 times a week and can take 1-2 hours if using this style of comb, then using a slicker brush and undercoat rake. Mals have two coats to get through, and blow their coat 3-4 times a year, resulting in three large bin liners a year.It is of the upmost importance to buy the correct tools. I hadn’t, I figured the tools all the same, but they are not. What I can say the amount of under fur or dead fur, this tool is excellent, it is so tough, doesn’t hurt the dog if used correctly. For the ultimate grooming you will need this tool, plus a decent slicker brush and undercoat rake.So if you have a dog that is super hairy, has more than one coat, then this is for you.So worth the money, and the best I have used in over 40 years of grooming my rescue dogs.Because of the sharpness, there is a good fitted plastic case that press studs over the sharp toolIf you feel unsure, please don’t be, this is the one what hairy dogs need, the hair afterwards is pure softness and detangled.Excellent tool and I highly recommend 100/10⭐️Thank you to the seller⭐️I hope my review helps you.

Absolute lifesaver for cockapoo who hates being groomed!
I have a young cockapoo and she’s incredibly strong-willed and lively.Since I got her, she’s hated being groomed, and even hated being stroked at first. That made me worried to take her to the groomers and leave her there in case they lost their temper with how uncooperative she is (irrational, I know!). I would try make grooming a positive experience with lots of treats and do short bursts at a time, but nothing worked, she still hated it. It wasn’t so much of an issue when she was younger, but as she’s shedded her puppy coat and her harness matts her adult fur terribly it got so out of control. As cockapoo owners know, as soon as a matt forms it only takes a couple of days to spread like wildfire. Every so often, I would spend a few days shaving them out around her neck and body and managed to painfully get a once over done on her with the comb on the other areas. It took forever. As you can imagine, she looked a bit unsightly with this method 😅 you can kind of see it in pic 1. Pic 2 is how she usually looks and I wanted to keep that length going forward, but thought I’d always have to shave the areas under her harness short unless she started cooperating with the grooming combs/brushes.Yesterday I was going to start the process of shaving the matts again. I’ve trawled through so many tutorials the past year and have never come across a tool like this, but I thought there HAS to be something! So back to Google I went and these types of tools popped up.I did a bit more research and settled on this one. I was skeptical and didn’t hold much hope but WOW. Seriously, wow!!!I popped her on the window ledge to distract her and I got to work. I was blown away at how well this worked! It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it it’s an absolute life saver! She even happily sat through it? She has NEVER willingly sat through a grooming session before!I managed to use it for about 20 minutes and have given her a break. But it works a treat and feels very safe.I’m thrilled and feel like I’ll be able to manage to keep the matts under control now once they’re all removed.I can’t recommend this enough, it’s a must for cockapoo owners whether it’s for in between groomers sessions or whether you do it yourself. I’m so glad I found it!

Great for Cockapoos
Really impressed with this. It works great on our cockapoo fur and helped to get the matts out.

if i was a dog i'd be on my back legs in the air and waiting for my belly to be rubbed!
what a truly amazing piece of doggy equipment! i have a cockerpoo and since moving from a town to the country she is just a mass of matts even tho' i regularly groom her myself. the matts had gotten so bad that the only solution or so i thought, was to cut them out. some of them are so close to the skin that you'd have to wait a week or so for them to grow out in order to safely cut the hair and not cut her skin! whilst out walking with her i met another cockerpoo owner who mentioned that i should be getting a dematter. i did. unfortunately i got one under £5.00 from another shopping website and on the first try she yelped like never before - it went in the bin! grooming is not at the best of times a pleasureable experience for a dog BUT to have her yelp was a big No-No. the blades were all rough and it tore at her rather than glide through her. so i looked further and found the safari one - a lot more expensive but worth every penny piece! it's like a hot knife through butter and i've used it on my poo and not one moan, cry or yelp! i did get lots of kisses, however, not too sure if she was saying "don't hurt me" or making me juicy to bite me if i hurt her! lol! so back to the safari - a truly wonderful PET FRIENDLY excellent piece of dog grooming equipment - if there's a reason a substandard product is being made at a fraction of the price there's a reason! it's rubbish! can thoroughly recommend this - superb at any price and worth my fur baby kissing me rather than screaming and trying to get away from me! you won't be disappointed!

Worked great on my Australian Shepherd
Loved that this got out the mats so easily on my Aussie. It cut right through them. If you have an Aussie you'll need this.

Excellent product
I just got this item today and quickly groomed my puppy. I have a 6 month old Biewer Terrier who is terrified of being groomed. She cries and yips and complains horribly when I try to brush her regardless of how gentle, and careful I am to support her skin while I comb her out. It breaks my heart to have to groom her. This tool went through her hair like a hot knife through butter. I LOVE IT. I have a dematting comb that is the same idea but the teeth on this new one are much MUCH sharper. The teeth cut through the tangles better without cutting the hair that offers no resistance. My one complaint is the design: one of the things that appealed to me about this product is that I can change the direction of the teeth for left-handed cutting. I assumed that the top of the comb would just unscrew to attach in the opposite direction to change the direction of the teeth. NOPE..it's more complicated than that. The teeth and each separator all come off the base and need to be reassembled. I managed to do this in just a few minutes...but it was a bit of a pain. There has to be an easier way.In all...my small complaint is really no big deal. It's an excellent comb and will make grooming so much easier for both me and my wee girl. I would highly recommend making this part of a dog grooming tool kit.
