Spain: Costa Blanca (Rockfax Climbing Guides)

This is the iconic guide to the area covering both inland and coastal crags. Interestingly I find that people from all over Europe choose to use this guide rather than ones in their own language - There are accurate directions for finding crags and the classic rock fax graphical summaries. Routes are shown on a photograph of the crag with brief descriptions below - not enough to ruin a climb, but enough to give you an idea of the character, difficulty and where you should go

This is a superb guidebook. It's full of crags old & newly developed, with a good selection of grades to suit everyone. The coding system allows you to identify the most suitable crags for you on a particular day & weather conditions. The photos are taken from excellent viewpoints, with lighting chosen to highlight the features of the crag, making it easy to identify the routes. Many of the crags are in out-of-the-way places, but the mapping & directions to the crag nonetheless make them easy to find. Absolutely ideal, 5 star without a doubt.

Packed with more than 3000 routes (including a very impressive if compressed index) this guide builds on the previous editions. I can't believe that all these routes have been checked, but none the less it is a great piece of work which indicates the potential of the area. It is interesting to see how this guide has become more and more informative. I like the new departure with the inclusion of the ridges, although I talked to another user and he didn't even notice their inclusion. Perhaps the via ferrata and the canyons of the area would be a good addition for the next edition, as something to do on rest days.

Created confusion because there were so many new routes in reality that are yet to be captured by this book.

I'm an organizer of rock climbing camp and bought this guidebook for using in Spain. What can I say - this guide is great for climbers of any skill. If you want to use this guide for a long time, think about cover upgrade e.g. from plastic material.Have a nice climbs in Costa Blanca!

No me gusta que de descripcion de las vias. Porque ya no vas a vista, ya sabes si hay un paso al llegar a la reunion. y lo de dar estrellas a las vias, hace que las supuestas vias buenas de los sectores, esten pulidisimas. Ademas hay vias sin estrellas que son muy buenas tambien. Asi que condiciona mucho el tema de la estrellas y "50 best" .Otra cosa que no me gusta es que no describe los accesos desde los parking. Llegas al parking y alli esta la pared y ala buscate la vida . En algunos sectores es muy obvio, pero en otros, como comiences mal el sendero la lias parda

Es una guía muy completa, ya la conocía por un amigo. Como curiosidad, deja un espacio para anotar la fecha en la q realizas la vía

klasse Beschreibungen der Kletterspots, Schwierigkeitsstufen und routen selber. Nicht ganz so technisch wie die Topos, die man aus Deutschland kennt. trotzdem alle infos drin, die man zum klettern so braucht - samt Geo-Koordinaten der einzelnen Sektoren!Bald gehts zum ersten Klettertrip mit dem Buch, da wird sich zeigen ob es auch Praxisrelevanz hat - bin aber zuversichtlich :)

Muy buena guía. Recoge un gran número de escuelas y vías de escalada en la Costa Blanca. La única pega es que esta en inglés pero aún así resulta muy útil.

El esta muy bien, la encuadernación y las imágenes muy bien logradas, la información de las zonas y las vías muy bien explicada. Me ha gustado bastante.

La guía esta muy bien, es completa. Los mapas son sencillos de interpretar. Le faltaría una nueva edición que actualizara algunos sectores.

Waren dieses Jahr an Ostern dort und der Führer hat uns die Auswahl der Felsen sehr erleichtert, bzgl. Schwierigkeit, Anfahrt, Ausrichtung usw. Sehr guter Aufbau und dazu noch schöne Bilder die Lust auf Urlaub und Klettern machen. Dazu ist er sehr aktuell.

Very complete guide book with excellent descriptions and very nice pictures of the routes. I really liked the top 50 route list, making it very easy to select wolrd class climbing area/routes.Only a couple of pages are mis-printed

Lo que yo pedí pero tarda un poco en venir

The best guide I've ever purchased. Routes are color coded and provide extra beta like pumpy. Contacted the author and received a response within moments. I will pay extra just to get one of their guides over a different brand next time.
