Does the job
Only disadvantage you have to use all of it. Can’t be kept.

Move quickly in the hot weather
The product met all of the requirements but I should read the instructions more carefully. I had given myself a free afternoon when the weather was dry to lay the geofix. It happened to be one of the hottest afternoons of the year and as I prepared to start I realised that the instructions said that the product loses its properties within 30 minutes in temperatures over 20C. So I had to try to do what I had planned for an afternoon's work in 30 minutes! It did continue to bond for a little longer than 30 minutes but there was more waste than I would have wanted and, in hindsight, I should have enlisted some help before starting to get the work done quickly.

Works a treat but something's a little fishy
At the reduced price this is fine and best still it works- I used it on a brick path and it stops the weeds but lets the rain soak through. Very impressed. You need to have the spaces well-prepared and to be able work fairly quickly because it starts to set when in contact with air.The downside is the unpleasant smell for a day or two.

Pros & Cons to this product -PROS:- brushed into the gaps fairly easily- dried very quickly in hot weather- Majority of gaps in patio are filled and seem pretty solidCONS:- Biggest problem is that my slabs are not completely flat and a lot of the sand has stuck to the surface of the slabs. if definitely does not brush off as the instructions suggest and i'm going to have to chisel it off which will take ages and may damage the slabs!- A few hard lumps in the unopened bag which were unusable- It hasn't sealed correctly in a few of the gaps so i suspect it will come out of those very soon- It was difficult to get it all spread out and compacted in within the recommended 30mins and some of it became unusable before the 30mins were up- Very strong chemical/fishy smell that is still there 5 days after but i'm sure will goThis is the only patio grout i have used so far so don't have a comparison. I'd recommend if you have completely flat slabs and know you will be able to use it in warm weather. I'd also recommend having 2 people so that one can brush into gaps while the other compacts

Excellent product. Would certainly recommend
Excellent, easy to use. Would certainly purchase again and from this seller. Very polite and helpful. Fully recommendOne of the buckets arrived with a broken lid (thanks to the carrier) but the contents are protected by a seal so no damage at all to the actual product.

I wouldn't buy it again.
This stuff works okay but its expensive. I have a large patio area and slabs around my house. It is much easier to work the mortar on smooth flags. Many of mine are riven stone and the mortar catches in the undulations and is very hard to sweep clean. One tub is difficult to completely work in within the 30/45 minute time limit given by the manufacturers as it comes in just one vacuum pack. It would be better if it could be packaged in two or three packs within the tub. This would allow one pack at a time to be opened and used even allowing the job to be spread over more than one period or day without the mortar going off, as the manufacturers say unopened packs properly stored will last up to two years. If i have to do this job again in the future i will use a 5 sand 1 cement dry mix. Much cheaper and i am sure will give a similar finish. Geo-Fix Paving Mortar is good but not good enough to buy twice.

The hardest part was getting the lid off!
Very effective product. It took two of us and two screwdrivers to eventually get the lid off the tub

Super easy to apply but looks dirty after a few days
This was used on my newly laid patio. I bought 2 tubs to cover around 32m2 and at first was a little apprehensive as it appeared to be like sawdust when I opened the sealed bag. I then panicked I wouldn’t have enough to cover as it should be. But persevered and spent an hour or so going round with a jointing tool to compact it down. Within an hour I was nearing completion and could see the compound becoming almost rubber like. A few hours later and it had gone really solid, very hard. It looks great, and I would hope it will last for many years to cone.PLEASE NOTE: After successfully applying this and being very impressed with the result, I have had to edit my review. We had a heavy shower and the following day I noticed that this mixture had gone rather like sand again, very soft. Maybe this is what is supposed to happen but if that is the case, it attracts dirt and what was a nice sandy colour is now black and dirty. A month or so after I did the patio and it looks as though it was done years ago. For the money - don't bother. I will be redoing the pointing next year the more traditional way. Very disappointed.
