We love Yamaha YDP-184
Just a wonderful piano to have in a home. Buy one before they discontinue. Price is a no-brainer. Looks, feels, and sounds like a real piano without the headaches of tuning, plus a plugin for iPad for lessons. Amazing, absolutely amazing. Build quality is top-notch.

High quality sound , simple to use
This keyboard has quality sound with plenty of options. I couldn’t be more pleased. As a lifetime accompanist and piano teacher, I value true piano sound, and this keyboard excels. Fantastic buy.

Rich sound, weighted keys, beautiful piece of furniture.
This is the best keyboard I have ever owned. It’s a beautiful piece of furniture in my living room, too. Keyboard cover is great. There are a lot of options , you can adjust every little detail you can imagine. The interface is pretty intuitive, and it has incredible reverb. I play the piano for pleasure and have had other Yamaha keyboards in the past, but this one is in a league of its own. It’s incredible, once you play this thing, you’re never want to go back to a previous keyboard! Came in a very large box, I feel as if the ‘size of a small refrigerator’ would be a good way to describe it. It is packaged meticulously well, and nothing arrived damaged. There wasn’t a whole lot of assembly that needed to be done, and the parts that did were very easy to put together. It’s just perfect. I will, however, be hiring someone to move this thing once I move out of my apartment!!

Beautiful Piano, Phenomenal Sound!
Beautiful Piano! Amazing Sound and Stunning Finish in the Dark Rosewood! Layering sounds such as Grand Piano and Slow Strings has phenomenal realism. Researched a number of digital pianos and finally decided on this one. But in researching, just a word of caution, Amazon puts all types of digital piano reviews all together which cause confusion for some, so make sure you are looking for the Yamaha 184 Console Digital Piano. And as I already mentioned I highly recommend the Dark Rosewood finish over black. Very Happy with this purchase!

Very Happy!
After having to scrap our old piano (it was my sister's which made it difficult to part with) I decided to opt for the digital Yamaha and am thrilled with it. I was concerned about possible damage because there were a couple good holes in the outer box, but it was protected by inner packing. NO DAMAGE! Great packaging. Took a little while to assemble the piano but we couldn't be happier. Two people were able to easily lift the top and assemble it with no difficulty. The case is a nice rosewood coloring, clean lines, solid. The electronics were very simple to assemble. Love the key cover, pedals are well supported. The key action is just like a "real" piano and I absolutely love playing it. The various "sounds" are perfect, even have your very own choir, perfect! I did purchase headphones so now every member of the family can play, plink, learn, without disturbing. We love the piano. Yamaha, you continue to amaze. Thank you!

Incredibly good digital piano!
We have a small space for a piano, and purchased the Yamaha YDP184R (Rosewood). This has been perfect. It fits nicely in a space that wouldn’t work for a traditional acoustic piano. The build quality and wood finish are very good. The playability and sound are excellent. I have to keep reminding myself when I’m playing that it’s not an acoustic piano. The weighted keys and response feel to me just like an acoustic piano. And the sound is surprisingly good. Yamaha did a very nice job designing this piano at this price point. And unlike an acoustic piano, this won’t go out of tune :)!

Great while it works. Horror once it breaks. And breaks it does after 2.5 years.
When it works, I have no complains. Piano plays great and served us well for 2.5 years. All good things come to an end. Unexpectedly, one note started playing at abnormal high volume. A research on web indicates it’s a sensor issue and it needs to be replaced. We called Yamaha who kept us on a line for 15 min. before answering a call. A nasty rep told me that I have to take the piano to one of the stores with which they have an agreement. No in-house service as it doesn't satisfy their "in-house' service policy. He told me they don’t care how I get this behemoth of a piano to the shop. Cannot be fixed at home. And the mom-and-pop fixing places they gave me are even funnier. Many of them don’t have personnel right now to fix the piano. Bottom line – do your research. This thing breaks (and I had numerous issues with other Yamaha products) and think what you will do once it breaks. As Yamaha will not be helping you. And one more thing. A person in mom-and-pop shop told me that Yamaha warranty may not be a true warranty. It only applies to manufacturing defects. Otherwise one has to pay out of your own pocket.

Quality, Quality, and Quality!
As a beginner, I wanted to go for Casio (half the price of this model) but I wanted this to stay in the family. Sounds like a real acoustic piano with the feel of a real grand piano keys. Lots of features too. Also, VERY well made and almost all parts are made of real wood! A beautiful piece of furniture too with Yamaha logo on it. I am sure the resale is much better than Casio too if my sons decide to sell it after my eventual demise :) I am glad I went with Yamaha.....
