When a dark force threatens Ponyville, the Mane 6 go on a journey beyond Equestria to save their beloved home and they meet new friends and exciting challenges along the way. Review: My My Little Pony Movie Review - I was hyped about the new theatrical movie based off of Friendship is Magic of it since it was announced a while ago. Especially when I was now warming up to the show. I know that it's odd when we got Equestria Girls films, but for a movie like this one, It was the one I'm sure that it's gonna be a great movie for the theaters as well as the one of this year, and I can tell it was worth the long wait for it. :3 This movie is the most faithful to the series and for a movie that was based on a toyline, every single bit of it from right down to the art-style, and the character traits. The animation is more styled to fit in the big screen by animated in traditional hand-drawn style of Toonboom instead of Adobe's Flash animation and it really did made it look so beautiful. There might be a few or a couple of nitpicks here and there, but overall, it was a great movie, regardless of if whether or not your a Brony or Pegasister. I guess that I would say that I too, can be a proud Pegasister. ^_^ Oh, I forgot to tell you about what do I think about the short film about Hanazuki: Full of Treasures short that was featured before the start of the film. I say that even if I haven't seen the series of it. It's a cute short that tells us it's own lesson of friendship and with good quirks of humor. ^^ And for that movie about ponies, it earns my respect enough to have it on the levels of the animated movies like, Inside Out, Moana, The Lego Batman Movie, Song of the Sea, Beauty and the Beast, and Kubo and the Two Strings, and also the levels of the movies that are based on a cartoon, like The Simpsons Movie and The Chipmunk Adventure. And for the first time, I can award a movie that is this great with my own KatieGirl Seal Of Beauty. KatieGirl Seal of Beauty by KatieGirlsForever Review: The Ponies You Love But Fancier Looking - Friendship really is magic, and this sweet little movie is magical. I love this movie, and I love these cartoons, because I love the message in them. The idea that kindness, generosity, laughter, loyalty, and honesty creates magic between friends shouldn't be a foreign concept, but cynicism is strong in people. We tend to believe the worst in people, and so we confirm it by showing them little in the way of those qualities we most desire for ourselves. This movie shows what can happen when we believe in ourselves and in our friends, when we step up and accept that friendship is a two way street, and that everyone is worthy of love and redemption. As for the film itself, the voice acting is spot on, the characters are the ones many of us have loved since we started watching the cartoon years ago, and the budget is clearly bigger, as the animation is gorgeous. The soundtrack is catchy, too, with my favorite songs being "Time To Be Awesome," and "Open Up Your Eyes," the latter which is brilliantly sung by Emily Blunt. I wasn't much for Capper (voiced by Taye Diggs), but he was competently played. The villain, the much vaunted Storm King, was probably the weakest element, but I didn't care about the villain, what I ultimately cared about was the sweet little ponies I've come to love getting together on an adventure, and having a great time, which they did, and I did as well. I highly recommend the film, and the series. It's worth every penny, and then some. That said, just remember, if you ever think you're friendless and alone, you're wrong. You have more friends than you know. :)

Another Great Friendship Story
Loved this movie! I think it works well where it takes place in the overall story. The songs were a great part and all very catchy. I love to sing with them! The graphics were different from the tv series, which was slightly distracting at the beginning but once you get used to it, it's really cute.

Worth Watching & Won't Burn Your Brain Cells, Dads!
Let's get this out of the way: I am neither a kid nor a Pony fan. As a kid in the 80s, I loathed MLP. Yet as dumb as the TV series can be (I actually felt my brain cells dying during an episode of the show), this movie wasn't awful, or even mediocre-bad. It was probably one of the best animated flicks of this year. Having watched it for the first time on Amazon, I'll admit: It won't cause me physical pain to watch this with my daughter tomorrow. I can't say that about most girl-oriented cartoons (they're generally pretty saccharin), but this one was amusing. Pinkie Pie, in particular, causes me to shudder most times when she appears onscreen in the TV series -- possibly because her commentary makes Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin look like Einstein and Tesla. But the careful work the producers and writers did on this film meant there was just enough of each character to actually be funny instead of agonizing. The Storm King is a giant ice monkey (like those poor ones sitting around in the hot springs in Nepal, terrified to leave the water for fear they'll freeze!), and is neither scary nor intimidating, even for the most sheltered kids. Favorite point: Fluttershy talking to one of the big scary guards about how he feels....seriously, I almost herniated myself laughing when I saw him weeping his little snowflake self to tears. So, dads: Yeah, it's not a GREAT movie. But it's relatively harmless, points out forgiveness and friendship (despite being flagrantly covered in unexplained unicorny pony magic), and had nothing particularly terrifying, scary, underhanded or icky...which makes it practically unique in the secular animation world. Go enjoy it. Or at least laugh at the stupidity, without beating your head on the seat cushion in front of you.

For all pony fans
I love this movie my little girl is just discovered My Little pony and I have to say after watching the TV show this movie was just as good if not better it stands alone as long as you have a basic background in My Little pony you don't have to have watched every single episode to get it but it's a sing-along fun happy movie that I think all young children will enjoy and as a adult I still thought it was fantastic.

I think I know all the words to all the songs already...
When you have a child obsessed with MLP and a certain streaming company decided it was going to cancel it (not Amazon, and they ended up not canceling) this purchase saved me for several days. My daughter is autistic, and MLP is her obsession. I've probably heard the music from the movie more times then I would have liked, and can time the movie purely by when I hear the songs. Now - the reason I'm rating it 5 stars, the movie itself is basic, but the artwork is really colorful, eye-catching and my daughter enjoys it. The music is energetic, memorable and fun. From an adult's perspective it would probably be around a 3 star but from the way my daughter's eyes light up with the intro, and how she jumps and dances, she'd give it a 5. The moral is your typical redemption of one, destruction of the other but eh, its a kid's movie. It also has the incredible ability to stop a meltdown ;) at least in my house.

Time to be AWESOME!
Brilliant movie. Brilliant soundtrack. As long as you are willing to give it a go, parents will also enjoy it. Obviously it helps if you are a Bronie! 😂 Daughter may have left MLP behind but every know and then I pop the CD to this movie on in the car... And writing this I may get the blu ray out and watch the movie again. One of the best kids movies of recent years!
