Top quality
This set is easy to set up and the cut is perfect. I made a complete set of kitchen cabinets and couldn't be happier with the results.

They're height matched.. What else do you need to know.
I bought these to make doors for a custom closet job i recently finished up.Having never made cabinet doors with raised panels I was super nervous about the size of the panel cutter but it performed beautifully. Clean smooth cuts and made very short work of the project. What drew me to the Sommerfeld router bits a long time before I actually purchased them was the height matched sets. In no more than 30 minutes I had the rail and stile component to my 6 doors finished and fitting perfectly. While I still give it 5 stars I had an issue with my panel cutter sitting a scant lower (<1/32") in the collet than the pattern and coping cutters so my panels ended up being a little shallower on the outside. I should have run a test and made a slight adjustment however it was so close it's really splitting hairs. That being said they out perform my Freud bits for sure. The bits are sharp, true, and I really like the box they come inLooking forward to getting more/different sets.

Nice clean cuts and lines
Quality set. Nice clean cuts and lines. Shaker doors can be made using other means but this set makes doing so much easier.

The bits worked great. I built my first set of raised panel ...
The bits worked great. I built my first set of raised panel doors ever with them without issue. Matched sets worked well with the included grommet. The only negative with them is a lack of written instructions on their use. That's the only reason that I dock them a star. However, it's really not a large problem since video tutorials are available online:http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=sommerfeld+shaker+cabinet+set+video&qs=AS&sk=&FORM=QBVR&pq=sommerfeld%20sha&sc=8-14&sp=1&qs=AS&sk=#view=detail&mid=A81F628F2A9DA6D50682A81F628F2A9DA6D50682If that's the way they want to provide support, it's not a problem to me at all. But it would have been easier had they included some minimal directions or at least a URL to the tutorial or their website.I guess I'd sum it up by giving the bits an A+ and their support a B+ for inaccessibility. The video itself is quite complete and helpful.

Good for a smaller job I question the longevity
I bought this raised panel door bit set in order to manufacture kitchen cabinets for the first time. I ended up using a flat panel so I did not use the raise panel bit until I built a small entertainment center. The raised panel bit had a fair amount of trouble going through Oak. It wanted to snag and had a fair amount of terror out even when I went with the green. I ended up making six raised panel doors in all in the raised panel door bit seem to lose its edge pretty quickly. The other two bits for the rails and styles work great as I manufactured over 50 cabinets with them but the raised panel bit left a little to be desired. Again I think for a small job this will be fine but I would be cautious of using it for larger jobs that require a lot of raised panels. I also tried it with two different routers one had variable speed and one was set to manufacture speed and nothing made a difference on the raise panel bit. Again the other two bits were perfect

way better then expected
Worked like a charm, didn’t tell you how fast to use them after a little messing around worked fine
