I've been buying braided wigs and wanted to *jazz* them up. This provides enough string for multiple uses and has a good stretch.

Another craft-type item in my case for fly tying.10 (32+ feet) meters of gold and 10 meters (32+ feet) of silver - braided tinsel over an elastic cord.Diameter is about 1mm un-stretched and about 1/2 that at .5mm when stretched. Probably not worth the effort, but deconstructed by unbraiding the tinsel with a bodkin gives you 4 tiny (0.51mm) white round elastic cords (legs, antenna, etc.) and about? 9 tiny coiled strands of tinsel (nymph legs, flash, etc.)My purpose in general is for shiny ribbing. Is is a bit of a challenge to stretch around a size 12 or 14 hook that wants to bend a little under the force needed to fully stretch, but it is doable and becomes sort of an oval braided tinsel.Certainly a value for my uses and another fun item to add to the synthetics stockpile.

It works pretty well as how I wanted to use it. Iused it in my braids, and I used it to decorate a birthday present. I'm going to buy more when the holiday comes because this is perfect for homemade Christmas ornaments. It has lots of possible uses. I'm very happy with the product.
