FreeTail Swift Ext. - 1TB - External SSD USB 3.1 (FTES001B35)

Couldn't be happier with my FreeTail - 500GB - External SSD ! Ordered it to deal with gb's worth of audio archives I needed to back up & after reading other reviews on the quality & durability of this device, I thought let me give the 500GB model a try. I'll be ordering another one real soon, this drive came ready to go out of the box, plugged it in to my Windows 7 pc, device recognized, good to go! Only (extremely minor!) issue I found is I cannot rename the device from within Windows 7 (64-bit) I'm no novice to pc's, and tried everything I could think of to do so, but other than the drive displaying as FreeTail *with the logical drive letter next to it), everything else is just fine! Love it & would Highly Recommend it!

This 980 GB SSD is reasonably priced and it has proved reliable over several months since purchase. I did not know the brand, but took the chance on its lower cost as it was to serve only as a backup drive. I am satisfied and would recommend it.

Works perfectly. Formatted in ExFat, to work in Windows and Mac. Durable construction. Lots of storage in the palm of your hand.

The ssd may not be the fastest but it gets the job done for gaming or whatever your needs are. Very simple to use just plug in and your ready to go no drivers are required. So if you are looking for and ssd pick this one up.

This SSD is very inconsistent in terms of speed. Sometimes it will perform in the 100MB/s read and write tier, other times it will drop down to 24MB/s. The inconsistency causes Windows 10 to detect it as a standard hard drive instead of an SSD.
