Recording in a confined space - great use case
I used to use coiled cables decades ago. Mostly for the look. This isn't scientific but I don't notice any loss of top end, as used to be claimed for coiled cables back in the day. It might depend on your guitar/amp setup, I use a Les Paul Deluxe from '71 and the only thing I didn't like about this guitar was it's sometimes sharp high end (for humbuckers) on the bridge pickup. But I don't notice that anymore. Maybe I'm better at getting a sound I like, maybe it's the change in equipment over the years. I used to use a 100w solid state Yamaha amp, I now use low wattage valve jobbies. Completely subjective, I find I can get the sound I want very easily. At the least, any effect this cable has on the sound is a positive one, more likely, the cable isn't really long enough to make enough of a difference. And it looks so cool, white, curly, black shrinkwrap. I've only used it on one gig but I had no problems. I use the angled jack end into the guitar and I have just enough length to run the cable past the strap button. No noises, no static, sounds fine. I'd recommend it if asked.

Quality cable
To be honest I thought coiled guitar cables were not made anymore. I have used them many years ago but sometimes they could be noisy. But, not this one, it's made from quality materials and good quality jack plugs, it does the job.

Not ideal for Telecaster
Two problems for use with Telecaster:1. Angled jack plug is too short to fit securely in a Telecaster socket. It doesn't click in. (I have an electrosocket which sorted this problem for any other cable I've tried.)2. The straight sections of the cable are too short to allow for a loop around the strap button without straining the cable endDespite that, I'm much now happier with the cable than I first thought. I like it and am upgrading to 4 stars.

Looked lovely, didn't work.
For how nice this looked I'd hoped it'd be a nice addition to my new bass for its first gig. It didn't work. It turned up packaged to kingdom come, factory new, and for all the reasons I should spend extra on it, it just didn't work.

I genuinely like this cable
Pros- good, thick quality- works effectively- doesn't seem to have any issues with picking up other noiseCons- if I have to be picky, the connectors (jacks) aren't made of the best quality metalsI'm usually quite sceptical of lesser known brands as I find the quality not to be consistent. However, the stuff from Sonicake has so far been fairly decent from my limited experience. The cable is nice and thick, maybe not ideal for some people but it's just the coil that makes it feel thicker than normal. The cable itself is about average thickness for a cable. Personally, for the use in a home studio like I'm using it. It's actually quite nice to have it the way it is. I can stretch it when needed without the extra thought of "am I gunna break something" but it's also long enough to be about a metre away from me on the left and be plugged in leaving nothing trailing on the floor. I do have it trailed inbetween two desks and it's draped over my desks edge of the table cup holder so you're experience might differ. I'm probably in a niche use case the way I'm using it, but for short distances where you might need the extra length. It's ideal. It's coiled well. It isn't overly kinked either and it should get worn out of whatever little kink is there due to it's weight anyway.A decent length, for a decent price. I've purchased £50 quid cables from bigger brands in the past (which I still use for gigging or rehearsals) so the price here at £21.99 is at least competitive with other brands and probably close to the same quality. It's replaced my colour coordinated set up in the studio because I genuinely like this cable!

Well made with plenty of stretch, secure jack plugs which are unlikely to fail
SONICAKE Coil Guitar CableTo be honest I have always shied away from this type of coiled guitar cable as I don't like anything tugging at my guitar whilst playing, but as this was offered to me I thought I'd give it a try.The overall quality of this appears to be quite good, the cable is thicker than expected so does appear to be well shielded. This is made up of 24AWG oxygen free wires, with double shielding which is essential for keeping out any kind of interference. The 1/4" mono jack plugs are made from what appears to be chromed brass, these are securely moulded onto the cable to prevent any loose connections due to constant pulling of the cable. Obviously with a flexible cable like this there will be constant strain on the connectors, this appears to have been dealt with as there is a secondary moulded rubber tube over the jacks which should take all the strain off the wire connections.Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this cable. There is a certain amount of pull on the guitar due to the coiled nature of the cable, but if not stretching the cable too far then it is manageable and not really noticeable. I would have preferred both connectors to have been straight, but having one angled is not really an issue for me. There are times when an angled jack can be quite useful.CONTENTS:1 x 10 Metre CableThank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.
