Shapes wood like nothing you've ever used before! (If you've never used a tool such as this) It moves material crazy fast and the holes let you see what you're doing as you're doing it. I've used a similar product, without the holes, and it worked great. But when I got this one and could see what I was doing as I was doing it, I was thoroughly happy. These types of tools can be quite dangerous, but being able to see your work further reduces the possibility of an accident.If you want to move wood fast and accurate, this is the tool for you. It will need some finish work, but the time saving is well worth what work is left after using this Holey Galahad!Bottom line: great tool for the money. Worked exactly as claimed. Tooth wear has been minimal which leads me to believe it will last for quite some time. I'd definitely buy another if this one ever wears out... unfortunately for the maker I'm not sure it ever will! Great product, fair price, and shipping was as expected (7-10 days.)

I'm a rookie woodcarver and bought this to use on a maple slab. It fit my Ryobi angle grinder securely and removed wood quickly without "grabbing." It throws a LOT of coarse sawdust farther than you'd think. This was a good investment that works better than other cheaper knock-offs.

This thing is amazing! I was kind of hesitant at first because of the price tag but after just one use I felt it was totally worth it. These discs excel at removing material in rounded shapes where something like a belt, orbital, or sheet sander simply aren't up to the task. If you go slow you can get a fairly good rough finish. I used this on a hardwood project that would have taken many more hours of sanding than it did thanks to this.I made a basin out of southern red oak to symbolically wash my wife's feet in at our wedding and it came out incredible. The finish is a tung oil rub.

Very “unofficial” look packaging and directions? I haven’t used it yet but compared to the other brand I bought (kutzall) it is questionable on where it came from. Not sure if it was repackaged return or what but for the price I would expect assurance I’m purchasing a quality product. I didn’t want to be the guy that gives it one star because of the package as I’m sure it will work fine.

I always go through the same thought process when buying anything from King Arthur Tools. “Gee, this looks awesome! I want one. Let me hop onto good ol Amazon and pick one ooh... that’s pricey. I don’t know.” [some time later] “This project is taking forever and I’m spending a fortune on flap discs. I wish I purchased that thing from King Arthur Tools a while back.” [a trip to Amazon and two days later] “Holy cow! THIS IS AWESOME!!! I can’t imagine working without one!”True story

This tool works great. I'm using it to "dish out" wooden seats for four dining chairs. Two of the chairs will have hickory seats and two will have walnut seats. After completing the two hickory seats the tool had a lot of wood embedded in it. I cleaned it according to the provided instructions using oven cleaner. After about 15 minutes the embedded wood was gone - so was the green paint. Oh well, I thought no harm done. The next morning I went out to mount it back on my grinder and noticed it had already started rusting. Not too happy considering the cost on this tool. Guess I'll be storing it covered in a coating of oil.

This only took 10 minutes. Pretty cool tool. I think they are highly priced compared to other grinder accessories which is the only 4 star portion. Knocks out wood very easy and smoothly. First little tester went like butter. Wouldn't lay it flat and would recommend using it at an angle softly to prevent the heavy pull on whatever surface you are working on.

I started this new hobby about 6 months ago and used some off brand products. I did my research and realized I cannot go wrong with the Holey Galahad. I went to the garage and started working on Christmas gifts...let’s just say Holey Sawdust! It decreased my time by 80% but my clean up time has been increased by 200%. Make sure you use this outside or have a serious dust collection system! I will buy more products from KAT but will have a better set up for dust collection. Great tool and a great company!
