Men's Skele-Toes Bay Runner 3 Mesh, Rubber Sneakers

Would honestly have loved a pair of Five Fingers, but at 2x the price, they just didn't fit my budget. So I got these as a "consolation prize." While my biggest reason for wanting the 5-Fingers was a more true barefoot experience and more flexible shoe (and no arch support I aassume) for going on sand, rocks, working out, biking and walking trails, so far I am quite impressed with the Fila's. 2 quirks off the bat is getting the toe next to the big toe to go where it belongs, and the arch support. It took some time to get the toe in the right channel but once it gets there, it feels kinda cool. The arch support just felt weird and that it may blister the arch area if taken immediately on a decent walk. I am hoping breaking these in and getting used to them will relieve that so I won't take any points yet until they are given a fair chance.It feels great having freedom of movement somewhat for the toes and not having a pair of shoes squeeze your feet. I'd be sure to keep the toenails groomed (sounds funny but it seems to me they'd just be a detriment in these shoes in putting them on or wearing the interior material). Overall the material and overall shoe seems well made and solid and the soles are rigid and substantial enuff...in my case this may be better than a 5 fingers shoe as I do go over a lot of rocks and wood beds when trailing the beach, parks, forest trails etc. with many areas having rugged or sharp ground cover.Overall I really like them but the arch could be my one gripe and depending on how that subsides or persists, could be the differnce between 5 stars or 3 - losing 1 star for a mild annoyance, 2 if it doesn't subside and creates aches, abrasions or blisters. I will update probably after a couple months, but really can't get a great idea of how well these perform til spring and they are useful on trails (too much snow for now).

i just purchased these shoes one month ago i have wore them twice and the left shoe two toes hurt so bad and the bottom sole is very hard.I am used to wearing Vibram 5 toes i also have another pair fila skele toes and the are very comfortable.I really like this shoe but i can not wear this pair.I will try another maybe a bigger size....

I love skelly toes and for the price you just can beat them. They are not the top of the line toe shoe but they have a desirable price and work well for their intended use. Draw backs are the rubber soul is separated on the toe portion of the shoe. It is a little thicker too than other brands so foot flex and toe curl grabbing are a little more difficult to obtain.I use these for rough surfaces, rock running ie gravel, water shoes, and tooling round the house.

These are the best shoes for kayaking, swimming, or just doing yard work around the yard. I am on my third pair and I continue to come back to this brand!

To running bare foot, of course. I only use them in the woods and parts and not on streets or old railroad beds and it has really enhanced the running experience. Climbing hills feels so much more natural (and easier). The only issue I have is they really do not provide much protection for the toes. The woods are roots and I am old so it's a marriage made in hell. I come home with many a stubbed toe. Occasionally, I trip on roots etc. and it is painful. This is the only adjustment I continue to try to make.

the quality of these is great-like a pair of tennies! the skeletoes rave is the stability from standing on all four points of the foot and greater structural alignment. These help me greatly to take care of my body and fell great while doing it. i wear all day and its like clouds on my feet. I have had another model of these and these are superioir! So comfortable. but be warned, these shoes will get a stink from sweat- get yourself some tough actin Tenactin to combat that odor nightly! lol!

Aside from them being too small and not fitting one thing I definitely think is wrong is posting an item as NEW when it clearly isn’t anyways they have small rocks stuck between the sole like they have been walked on they didn’t come with a tag just in a clear bag I would’ve assumed they would come in a box and or atleast the tag that usually hangs on one of the shoes I expected what I paid for 😠

I had to order them 1 size larger than my default shoe size (10 instead of 9) but once I got the fit, they worked out perfectly. They're comfortable, I'm able to run in them, I like the way they look, and so far I'm enjoying them a lot. It remains to be seen whether they'll hold up over time, but we're off to a good start.
