Game changer. Pure Silence and Perfect Sound
I've finally found the perfect balance of comfort, sound quality, and unparalleled noise cancellation with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds. Five stars simply don't do these justice—they are truly in a league of their own. Design & Comfort: Forget You're Wearing Them Bose absolutely nailed the design and fit. These earbuds are incredibly light and extremely comfortable, even during long listening sessions. I can wear them for hours without any ear fatigue, which is a massive win. They also look good—sleek, modern, and high-quality, exactly what you expect from Bose. “The Gold Standard of Noise Cancelling” The primary reason to buy these is the excellent noise cancelling, and it delivers. It's the best I've ever experienced in an earbud format. They create a pocket of absolute silence that completely melts away the sounds of a busy commute, a noisy office, or a flight. It's truly transformative. Acoustic Brilliance and Versatile Modes The listening experience is nothing short of amazing. The audio sounds amazing—rich, detailed, and perfectly balanced, making every song feel like a private concert. What really sets the QC Ultra apart is the incredible versatility of its modes, transitioning seamlessly from "Aware" to "Immersion." The Aware mode lets you stay connected to your surroundings without taking the earbuds out, while the Immersion mode combines that legendary noise cancellation with spatialized audio, creating a soundstage that makes you feel utterly enveloped in your music. If you’re looking for premium earbuds that offer unmatched comfort and industry-leading performance, look no further. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra is the only choice.

Expensive, but you’ll never need another pair of earbuds!
Why did you choose this product over others?: I chose these because the noise cancelling is superior and is fantastic for people who are in loud environments. You get passive noise cancelling from the ear tips being snug in your ear, then it’s your choice to add extra noise cancelling in the app, but a little goes a long way, and I’ve never needed it to half way or full. Charging speed: Charging speed is fantastic and never had the headphones go flat on me yet, even after heavy use Comfort: Comfort with these earbuds is fantastic, they come with different sized ear tips, from small to large, so you can have a different size in each ear. Weight: The weight is fairly light weight and feel premium with a nice feel to them Design: The design is small and compact, but don’t let that take away from the amazing sound quality, amazing and shocked me when I put them in the first time Ease of use: Very easy to use with touch control, the app is very intuitive, and plays a tone every time you put them in, but need to play it in the app settings so it tells you you if the seal is good or not Battery life: Fanatic as stated previously, never find myself having to rush to charge them after intense use

Unusable, loses bluetooth connection to iPhone within seconds, RETURNED, AVOID
Bose Quietcomfort Ultra earbuds. I gave it a try for a month - UNUSABLE, AVOID. I'm a techie and I don't return items. UNRELIABLE. RETURNED. SUMMARY: ========= I bought this over Sony's competitor as multiple *paid* online tech site reviews recommended it for noise cancelling. Worked first few days (literally), but then would not connect to my up-to-date iPhone next to it. Or would drop connection 20s into streaming / call. And would not be able to reconnect. I gave it a month, tried re-pairing, resetting... nothing helps stabilising it. All problems persist. PAID REVIEW SITES WON'T TELL YOU that this has a *serious* design problem with pairing and maintaining bluetooth connection. And despite saying "designed for iPhone" - it is not. See other 1 star reviews here and on reddit for connection problems. This is priced as £200+ premium product (bought on Black Friday new from Amazon) - it is an "Alpha" / product demo software at best. RETURNED. BAD === (worked a few days and the below started) * Cannot find an iPhone next to it - bluetooth on the iPhone can't see it, Bose app doesn't see it. This is my first pair of bluetooth ear/headphones that has this problem. * When connects, < 1min into a stream (music / podcast / call) - just says "lost connection". And it takes returning to the case / re-pairing / fiddling for 5+ mins, to re-connect and then either works or it doesn't. UNUSABLE. * Multipoint (connecting to 2 devices) - just doesn't work and makes things worse - keeps connecting / disconnecting from both to the point I had to turn it off. * On a few occasions would not even detect being removed from the case / inserted into the ear. Then you need to return both earbuds into the case, sometimes multiple times and put back in for it to recognise that it should be on. Even the app can't connect. Annoying / could live with: ====================== * You'll need to buy an external case for this. For a premium product - it has a flimsy lid that feels like it could snap off at any point in time, my no-name £20 earbuds have better quality lid build. * Multipoint connection doesn't work - I would be able to forgo this not working but it is unusable * Doesn't do 6 hours as advertised. It does 2-3 hours with noise cancelling / immersion at best with iPhone in a pocket 1m from it. * it has a strong magnetic connection but almost hard and tricky to take out of the case - I could live with this if it worked Good: ===== * When it works, noise cancelling is almost as good as my over-the-ear Sony headphones, tested on the road, in a car. * "Aware" mode is excellent and you can hear clearly the music / speech & surrounding sounds * "immersion" mode is gimmicky but I'd say very well done. * Most earbuds don't fit me - these fit me very well and gives you a few more options with other in-ear sizes Conclusion: ========== Don't buy. This is priced as a premium product. My cheap no-name earbuds *never* drop the bluetooth connection to my iPhone and switch seamlessly to other sources. Trying these was a constant daily frustrating battle. I can't afford to spend 20+ mins fiddling with this to just enable them or wait for them to start working. If you're from Bose and reading this - guys, this is a pre-Alpha release. This could've been a fantastic product. It is poor - I don't know how you managed to release this. This should've been revoked. You lost a future customer as I won't consider you again.

Excellent
I have had the Bose Sports buds but accidentally lost one so had to purchase a new pair of earphones. I absolutely loved those and thought they couldn't be beaten but these outdo it with sound. The bass is just enough, not as much as the sport buds but the sound is much clearer and I prefer it. They also stay in my ear better than the sport buds and they have no ear hook. The sound cancelling is mint, I pop these in even when studying without music and drowns the background completely out so highly recommend for that. The 'aware' option is also good and helpful when walking so you're alert to traffic. Comfort is good, have them in for hours and don't feel them in. The only downside is the in-call quality. I wouldn't purchase these if it was mainly for that use. It's hard to hear when they're in and quite sketchy for the price. However if it is for sound and pleasure I absolutely recommend these earbuds!

Defective
I initially connected this to the Bose app and subsequently got connection into one ear on my phone. Then I lost connection and couldn't reconnect to to the Bose app or my phone. Spent some time with a Bose technician who couldn't troubleshoot the problem. They agreed to replace the earbuds upon return which could take up to 3 weeks. All a bit of a pain really.... Update. Big up to Bose Customer Services who sent an (upgraded ) replacement pair after just 7 days Ok I been using these for a couple of weeks now so it's time to review. Firstly I bought these to cancel out the bone-vibratingly loud rubbish music played a my gym and in this respect they have been a success and as good as if not better than my over ear QC 45's. The sound quality is decent enough for my needs not being a music technogeek. The set up is easy enough and there are a, more than necessary amount of sound and other options. After a lot of experimentation with the ear tips and wings I finally found a combination I am happy with. The only downside for me was the option to link to 2 devices at once. I chose the TV and my phone. However if I was watching the TV and decided to check my phone the TV sound would immediately cut out and only resume several seconds later. If I touched my earbuds inadvertantly the music app on my phone would kick and wouldn't stop until disabled I've disabled this function now. All in all for someone who really only wanted the 'world class' noise cancelling I'm pretty happy

Wow. Powerful headphones that are extremely comfortable
I recently got my hands on the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds, and I must say, they have exceeded my expectations. Let's dive into what makes them exceptional. First and foremost, the sound quality is simply outstanding. Whether I'm listening to music, podcasts, or taking calls, the audio is crisp, clear, and immersive. The Spatial Audio feature adds a whole new dimension to my listening experience, making the sound feel more real and placing it directly in front of me. Comfort is another area where these earbuds shine. With other headphones it has taken my ears a while to get used to having them in for long periods of times, I have had no issues what so ever for having these in all day at work. Now, onto the occasional cutouts. While these earbuds offer exceptional sound quality and comfort, I did experience occasional cutouts during use. However, this hasn't been a deal-breaker for me, as the overall experience they provide more than makes up for it. Once they disconnect usually a simple tap and they are reconnected. One of the features I love is the ease of use. Setting up shortcuts to easily navigate through the different modes – Aware, Quiet, and Immersion – has made switching between them effortless. Whether I need to hear my surroundings or immerse myself in music,. In terms of battery life, these earbuds offer up to 6 hours of listening time, with an additional 2 hours with just a 20-minute charge. So far I believe this to be accurate and I havent had to charge the case at all. Overall, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds deliver exceptional sound quality, great comfort, and easy usability. Despite occasional cutouts, their immersive listening experience and customizable fit make them a top choice for anyone looking for premium wireless earbuds.

Not great
1 YEAR UPDATE: new replacement product, slight improvements… As my initial review below stated, I wasn’t particularly pleased with these earbuds but I stuck with them. At the turn of the year (having now owned these for approx. 8-9 months) one of the earbuds stopped connecting for no apparent reason. Credit to Bose, I contacted them on their online support, and we ran through all the various factory reset options, and managed to get it working again. Alas 24hrs later I was back to where I was and after I tried these troubleshooting steps again they had given up the ghost. Bose however were very helpful and as my product was still covered by warranty, they sent me a label and I returned the earbuds to be sent a new pair a couple of weeks later. The subsequent earbuds have had the odd issue, but (touch wood) have been better. I’m not sure if Bose have made any physical or software changes to them, or if the first batches they made were awful, but these seem to be much better. I’ve left my score at 3/5 because when they work, they are brilliant, but for a new product to go to market and have so many customers complain about the same issues is really poor. One other update… the main thing than annoys me still is them popping out slightly. I seem to be constantly re-twisting them back into my ear canal, but when you touch them it activates the controls on them to stop the music, or alter the listening experience!!! It is so infuriating… I wish I could lock this off in the app or similar, when I am working out I set a playlist or listen to a mix, so I don’t need to alter this at all, so for me this is a feature that needs to be added, but could just be me… either way, my ears apparently aren’t the right fit for these, which is a shame because they apparently they were for decades before on other Bose products. ORIGINAL POST: I have owned a variety of Bose headphones over the years, but my favourites by far were the Bose Soundsport Bluetooth Wired headphones. So much so I had two pairs which lasted ages and when I heard they were going to discontinue them I bought one last pair so I could have a set for another few years. I used these headphones mostly down the gym, running, rowing, or even at work as a gardener, so it is safe to say I lead an active lifestyle, but most importantly I want a set of headphones that are durable, sound great, comfortable and also fit perfectly so that despite moving around they do not pop out at the slightest moment. So when my beloved last pair of soundsport gave up the ghost a few weeks ago I figured it was time to look around at the options and figured that because I was so impressed with how the last set of Bose headphones I owned, I would trust them again and go with their latest set of earphones. After owning them for two weeks and giving them a good trial they are not up to standard, but come at a much higher price also. Let’s start with the app which you need to download to get connected and also change the various settings. At first it looks very glossy and lots of cool gadgets, but as other reviewers have stated it is a little glitchy and after only a few minutes it crashed on me and wouldn’t connect. (NB I have the latest software update on my phone so it is not like I haven’t the latest version to work alongside the app). Secondly the sound. The immersive sound is very impressive and it has three settings; the first to leave as is per the recording, the second if you are to sit still the sound stays very central in your head, and the third, movement which allows you to move your head around and be active and the sound follows you around, it really is very impressive. But… I found at times it cuts out returning you to the off setting which jolts you back to a different sound and feel and then returns a second or two later thus resulting in this very odd and uncomfortable listening experience as it reverts back and forth. Next up the fit. And this is the worst of the lot. As I said before, having had the Bose Soundsport headphones, and yes they are larger in comparison for in-the-ear headphones to these, but the fit is magnificent. These come with three different fittings, and I have tried all three and a cross variety of the three because I am aware that my ears might be ever so slightly different in shape/size by the slightest millimetre and so it is worth trying to figure out what is best for you. I tried all of these and despite this the fit just didn’t feel quite right. When out running they jump ever so slightly in the ear but because of the noise cancelling features it sounds like someone is jabbing something in your ear, like a ‘thud, thud, thud’ with every step you take. The disappointment I have for these is overwhelming, especially at the premium price. I don’t know how Bose can make something that is worse than a previous product and get it so so wrong. I guess if you are sat at a desk or sitting at home listening to music these might be good, but I just want a pair of headphones that are designed for exercise and aren’t a set of cans to put over your head, but have the listening experience to boot. I will most certainly persevere with these, mostly because I have to now having spent a small fortune on these, but they are a huge disappointment based on previous headphones bought by Bose.

Outstanding Noise‑Cancelling Earbuds
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Wireless Noise‑Cancelling Bluetooth Earbuds deliver an outstanding listening experience, exactly what you’d expect from a flagship Bose product. The noise cancellation is powerful and immersive, making music, calls, and podcasts feel incredibly clear even in busy environments. The sound profile is rich, balanced, and detailed, with deep bass that doesn’t overpower the mids or highs. Comfort is another major win. The earbuds sit securely without causing pressure, making them ideal for long listening sessions, commuting, or travel. Connectivity is seamless, and the build quality feels premium and durable. If you’re looking for earbuds that combine luxury comfort, superb noise cancellation, and exceptional sound quality, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra is an excellent choice — a true upgrade for anyone who values high‑end audio.

Bose Noise cancelling earbuds
Excellent noise cancelling earbuds. It come s with different sizes of earpiece to make sure you can find one that is working/comfortable for you. I used to have a different brand earbuds but it kept falling out while I was doing my morning walk. Bose earbuds stayed there the whole way. Sound is great too.

Great ANC, terrible Bluetooth connection
After short use it started disconnecting in left or both earbuds (iPhone 14 Pro; my other earphones work great with it). Factory reset did not help or just for a short time:( I have tried 3 (!) of the earbuds and badly wanted them to work properly, because ANC and sound are great and the buds are smaller then the previous version (non-Ultra), but every one had the same problems. I love Bose, but these are terrible. Btw Amazon Customer Service is very good - huge props.

attention
