These are great for keep foods sealed so they won't be spoiled. Plenty of space for big items such as breads and what not and the bottom expands out which is great!

These are large sized Mylar bags which are perfect for storing dry goods. We like to go self catering on holiday and it can be tricky to either find a supermarket or carry a range of foods with us to eat in the accommodation. I keep a basket of long life goods that that can be quickly grabbed and brought with us, and we know we'll have the basics with us to eat.These Mylar bags have been added to the stash with the first two filled with muesli and egg powder respectively and next I'm going to do dried kidney beans and apricots. I appreciate that they are resealable, so they can be dipped into when needed.At approx 35 x 25 cm they're pretty big for mylar bags, but small enough for our needs. We don't expect to keep the contents indefinitely, but it's certainly good to extend the shelf life for a few extra months if possible. I also appreciate that they stand up independently so we may freeze soup in them in the future. Good stuff!

I use Mylar bags regularly to repackage bulk foods into smaller containers for longer term storage and to prepare dehydrated camping meals for travel.Why these work:These were shipped flat instead of rolled or folded. This is important, since rolling or folding can introduce tiny holes that can lead to content deterioration.These have gusseted bottoms, so they stand up for filling. This also means they can stand up after boiling water is added to reconstitute a camping meal.They have a zipper seal, so they can be closed easily while food is rehydrating.What could be better:The Mylar is 120 microns thick on each side, or about 4.7 mil. For food storage, a minimum of 7 mil is recommended. These are fine for preparing camping meals, but I would not use them for long-term food storage.Overall, I think they are great for preparing dehydrated meals for camping; but I would not recommend them for longer term food storage.

I dehydrate a lot and these bags are excellent for keeping my produce at its best. They are very big so you get to fit in a lot which is good. Personally I like to store my dehydrated dog treats in them, and the bags keep them fresh and as a result they last longer. I definitely recommend them.
