The Haynes Weber Carburetor Manual: Zenith Stromberg-Su Carburetor Manual

After faffing with instructions off the interweb i bit the bullet and bought this and i'm really glad i did! Haynes know what they're talking about and after following the clear and accurate rebuild and tuning guide in this my twin Strombergs have never run so smooth!

Like any other Haynes manual. Does what is says on the tin

Typically well laid out Haynes manual - pictures and step-by-step instructions a-go-go. Only downside are the softback & paper quality make it a bit more fragile perhaps - especially as it's probably going to be covered in grease within a month - and the photos can be a bit too dark in places.

Great just what I was looking for

I bought this book for the Weber DCOE and there is one chapter for this model plus an appendix for jet sizes. It is a bit Americanised but covers the basics and is a useful accompaniment to more advanced information. For more detailed information have a look at the Weber online manual.

Good in depth manual for both carbs - suprised by how much on the SU's as I would have thought a manual on each was easily done but consider it a bonus!

Not inclusive of all weber carbsDid not have the model type I required.Most of these Haynes type books are for the U.S. market.

I have a 70 240z with twin SU Rountops. I was pretty nervous about messing around with my carbs and attempting to get them in sync. After reading though the pertinent chapters on my carbs, and about five tries to get them right, I got it, am comfortable with tuning them, and she runs like a top now. Well worth the money and knowledge.

I bought this to try and figure out my 32/36 and 38/38. It covers those but is more focused on sidedraft carbs which it goes into great detail.It has great diagrams and rebuilding procedures and does a very good job explaining the operation and theory behind those so you get an appreciation about what each part does.

An excellent, well written, book on sports car related carburetors. Answered a lot of questions about my new Webber's and made it easy to get them tuned up and running correctly on my 74 Volkswagen. Would definitely recommend.
