I upgraded from a series 3 to the latest series 9, if you’re considering buying a new watch, do not get it if you’re upgrading from anything below a series 7, unless you really need to. It is great and very responsive, precision finding not available for any phones that aren’t the iPhone 15 models which is a huge issue for me but I doubt anyone else would care that much.

Bought this for the missus as she had an older Series 5 that was struggling a bit. She informs me that it’s a brilliant upgrade and is very happy with it.For me, the best feature by far is the resultant peace and quiet as she tinkers with her new gadget. It won’t last, but silence is indeed golden!

I was about to buy the 8th gen after my watch was returned as I didn’t know there were new watches, and didn’t really care about getting something super new, but while searching up, I came across the series 9 which will cost only £30 more compared to the series 8! So I ordered one.Now after few hours, I can say It is noticeably faster than the series 7 for sure. Text is clear and as a productivity tool, alongside with other Apple devices, it is worth every penny.I wish simple loop options were available though.

I decided it was time for an upgrade from my very faithful series 4 to the mighty series 9 & like so many reviews that I have read, it certainly is noticeably faster.As with every Apple product, you truly get what you pay for; ease of use, bright display, fast speeds & a fab fitness tool (as well as a stylish looking watch).This watch is a must have if you’re looking to put your health (and now well being) first. The sheer amount of workouts you can now do on here and that it’s able to track is amazing! You can now log your mental health on the watch too which I I think is a lovely new feature alongside it’s multitude of stately features such as; fall & crash detection.I also now love that it’s a carbon neutral product, so no more guilt in how this is been created and how it’s impacting the environment.If I’m honest, if you are thinking about what size to opt for, I would say spend a little more and go for the 45mm as the watch truly shines on a bigger screen. The graphics, watch faces and workout metrics just look stunning and let’s face it. We only live once, so treat yourself!Overall, I’m very happy with this product. Have never been let down by Apple & on this occasion they have really done a fab job upgrading their watches! Enjoy!!

Whether the cost of updating from Series 7 to 9 was wise I guess is subjective. The 9 is a good watch wind has some features the 7 didn't possess, and it depends entirely upon ones wants & needs. The change over wasn’t seamless unfortunately, but even an 80+ yr old like me could handle it. The few unexpected problems were resolved thanks to Prof Google, & I have the watch set to my liking. I did watch several YouTube videos to see what is new, what to delete, and what to turn on etc & everything is working satisfactorily. May post another of these in a few months Tim, if I’m still here…..

This is a beautiful watch and strap. Expensive but you get what you pay for! You don’t need a case for the watch but I purchased one as I always end up accidentally smacking watches against things!
