I've bought this brand for years to comb my poodle's hair. It is just the right amount of stiffness (not too much or too little) and lasts forever. Also since my dogs are small (5 and 11 lbs) the small slicker is perfect size.

We have two dogs, both lab/golden crosses. This slicker really removes the loose fur and traps it in the splines for easy removal and into trash. No fur blowing around. The dogs loved to be groomed with it too. The double side feature is great.

I saw a groomer use a brush similar to this in a YouTube video while washing/conditioning the dog. She remarked it's much better to try to deshed with a brush like this while bathing so hair doesn't fly everywhere. And then these are nicer on the dog's skin than a furminator or other de-shedding tools. I completely agree. I purchased a dog grooming comb as well and the combo allows me to easily brush my dog while bathing and I use the comb to remove the hair from the brush and keep brushing. I like the double side so I can brush a bit longer and get more hair before cleaning out the brush. At the end of the bath, I gather the hair on the shower floor and throw away. Piece of cake! I've also used it on my dog when he's dry, in between baths, and it works well at getting the under coat then as well.

Flexible handle

Because my Sheltie has an undercoast and lots of shedding this brush does the trick! It was recommended by my breeder and I am on my second brush and thought I should write a review how wonderful it is. Pulls out all the undercoat and easy too! Feels great in my hand.

We have poodles and Aussies and this brush works great on both... and they like being brushed with it. The fact that it flexes makes it brush with the contour of the dog, which helps a ton. I got this smaller size to get puppies used to grooming. I would highly recommend this brush in whatever size you need. 🌺

I purchased for professional grooming. Only good for daily brushing of well maintained pets coat. Bends way too much to brush to the root of the dogs coat. If you have a large breed with tons of undercoat - this is not the brush for you I kept it to brush my ShihTzu’s hair daily because I groom him frequently
