Choung Soo Mul Naengmyeon, Korean Cold Noodle with Soup Base 720g (1 Pack)

I will forever buy these, the convenience of picking up your phone and ordering straight to your door is unmatched. They are such a welcome refreshing meal on a hot day.

Convenient and very easy to cook! All you do is cook the noodles and dilute the soup base. Add the spicy vinegar to your liking. It's not like Pyongyang naengmyeon. It's definitely more vinegar-y in the soup base which I like.

So many noodles. Could use more flavoring packets, but still the best on the market. Can make 4 huge servings. Good flavor.

It’s pricier to buy on Amazon than at the Asian mart, but I have been trying not to go into stores. I was able to jazz up the naengmyun with a boiled egg, boiled beef (sooyook aka brisket), thinly sliced cucumber, slices of pickled radish kimchi, sliced jicama or sliced Asian pear. I actually used just the noodles with my own homemade 2/3 beef broth + 1/3 dongchimi or radish kimchi water.

Store in a cool dry place. Comes with beef broth comcentrate. Buckwheat noodles are heavier and more like linguine.

I have not been to South Korea (and definitely not North Korea), but this soup + noodle pack is not even a little close to Naengmyeon that you have had or would find in reputable (Mom & Pop) Korean restaurants in North America. Or dare I say...the Paldo ultra-instant noodle version. Broth was bland. Not savory, not tangy; completely devoid of flavor. Directions instruct to dilute it (I did), and I regret it. I used traditional toppings including some thinly sliced fatty beef. Glad I made a side of mandu!

My local Asian grocery store does not carry this exact product and alternatives are $15+. This one is my favorite and it's the cheapest! Delicious and refreshing - add the little mustard packet little by little to adjust to taste. It's pretty strong but sooo good!
