I did have to use the drawstring on this one, as I have a smallish head, so the hat looks different on me than in the picture as it is puckered up somewhat! But I am happy with this hat and wear it quite a bit. A lot of the lower priced newsboy hats have this drawstring but they are insubstantial and do not work on a stiffer hat, this one does and so it gets a lot of use!
